Anyone w/Experience Renting a Car from Port Orleans Riverside?

DH and I are spending 3 nights at POR in January. We will be taking Disney's Magical Express bus from the Orlando airport to the resort. We don't want to take their bus back though, as we are not flying home that day. We want to rent a car, probably from Budget. I see there are several Budget locations in Orlando, which one is closest to WDW? Will they come to the resort and pick us up or do we have to take a taxi to the rental location?

There is a Budget location at the Doubltree hotel on Hotel Plaza Blvd near DTD.
They probably will pick you up at your resort, but I would call to confirm.
If not you could take a bus to DTD and walk there it's about 3/4 mile.
I would also check the rates for picking up at the airport vs the Doubletree, sometimes they can vary greatly.

DH and I often stay at PO. In the past we have taken the boat or a bus to DTD then walked across the street to the Hilton (I think it was the Hilton). I believe we rented from Alamo. No problems at all.

You can also schedule ME to return to MCO on your departure day and have a car reserved there... I typically find cheaper rates out of MCO....... I did this our last trip when we checked out of POR and then stayed off site the last two nights of our trip.

Hilton has Avis Rental, I used it once but would rather use the other ones on site...Dollar is also in Regal Sun.

I'm renting from Budget at the Doubletree by DTD. They will pick you up at your resort between 9 and 1. You can take the bus to the Doubletree from the parks but the schedule seems to be a little up in the air. We are goin to have them pick us up at the Beach Club as we'll be at Epcot the day we rent.

Another option is Alamo/National at the Dolphin. We have done this several times - this trip their minivan was too expensive. You can walk/boat from Epcot or DHS or take the bus from AK or MK to get to the Dolphin.
