Anyone used the Unoffical guide to Disneyland?

A couple of people mentioned "ridemax". I'm not familiar with that one. Is it much different then the "unofficial guide" plans?

I just signed up for RideMax since it's relatively cheap. Though since I'll be there on practically the first weekday Carsland will be open I'm not optimistic it will have the most accurate information for me.;)

I'll try to post some of our experiences during our afternoon downtimes. We'll try a Ridemax schedule and see how well it matches with reality.

BTW, I can't reply to any PM's 'cause I don't have 10 or more posts to my name, so anyone PM'ing will have to wait until I'm a little more "chatty".

I recently bought this after finding the WDW super helpful for planning.

Can anyone answer though: we're going the first week of December; Tues, Weds, Thurs and Friday and have been told it's pretty quiet during the week (apart from Friday). Do we still need to be as wedded to our touring plans like we need to be in WDW? Or is the place quiet enough to walk on to most rides with minimal waits generally?

I love the unoffical guide. I think they give great advice. I like how they rate the rides and restaruants.

It will be quiet during the day & will get more crowded at night. There will be LOTS of SoCal AP holders who will come out for a few hours to enjoy the lights & the magic throughout the Holiday season.

Always a good idea to snag a few FPs in the morning to use later in case it's crowded in the evening. :hippie:

Thanks Hound 109!

We've written up touring plans so our strategy is to start out with them and see how waits and crowds are around mid-morning. If rides are generally able to be walked on to, then I think we'll stop bothering with the touring plans and ride land-by-land.

I know the line for Peter Pan can get long, but I wonder if it would be better in June to head straight for the Matterhorn line after such an extensive refurb. Anyone have thoughts on this?

I'll put it too you bluntly - Peter Pan first.

I'm not thinking of only magic mornings. I'm not thinking of entering at rope drop on a non-magic morning. I'm not thinking of entering on a magic morning day when you aren't magical. I'm talking about a private event at night when the entire park (with the exception of Toon Town, Tom Sawyer Island and ships/rafts) is open to fewer than 2000 guests. The Peter Pan queue became the usual outdoor sardine can in a half hour.

Thanks. :thumbsup2 Now tell me how you really feel. ;)
