I was going to use the on line system to book my ADRs but my travel agent recommend me not too. She said it sometimes cancels your reservation:scared1:

Anyone else have this problem? I can start booking my ADR's Sunday. Yea!!

I'm going Dec 12-20 and I'm nervious I won't get the ones I really want.
I was going to call Sunday at 7 but not sure if this is a good Idea I've also heard you could have an hour wait. Last time I called in the afternoon and I got everything I wanted and didn't have to wait for an agent but Free dining wasn't on and it was late april early may, so I don't know if that makes a difference. I also didn't care if I ate in the castle and this time I would like either breakfast or lunch in the castle but I will compromise on dinner if I have too. LOL

I guess my question is. what time should I start calling or should I just use the online system and take my chances they won't be cancelled

Thanks:)

Also what is the number to book my ADRs?

For our last trip (Aug 29 - Sept 8), the online system wasn't in place at our 90 day mark so we had to call. When the system became available about a month later, I went on a number of times to try to get Le Cellier for September 3 (and did!) and to change around some reservations once the park hours were announced.

There were absolutely no problems with any of the reservations during the trip.

I found that the online system was a lot faster to work with and I really liked that you got email confirmations with the reservation numbers. As I said, we didn't have any issues with the reservations, but I really liked that I had printed copies of the online ones with me, just in case there was an issue when we got to the restaurant.

We booked all ours online but we don't go until Sept 26th. I have been reading stories about people using it online & when they showed up for their time they didn't have their reservations on file. It looks to me like it was a certain time frame or something. I have my confirmation #'s & we're going to show up. It doesn't seem to be happening to everyone. I really liked the system & it was easy to use. I'd rather do that then wait on hold.

CALL IN!!! I have been a victim of on-line ressi's disappearing. UGGH! Happened with Hoop Dee Doo (and a couple of other restaurants). I had BIG issues when I got to the restaurants. It wasn't pretty.

But you're going in December. My point is that the 'crazy' free dining ADR's are only during the late August dates (because of kids being out of school). I doubt December as having the same issues because it won't have as many travellers. :thumbsup2

I would call. I tried to use the online reservations but it would only let me do the first day of my vacation, not the rest of the days. And call early in the morning. When I did call in to book my ADR's a couple of the resturaunts that I wanted weren't available for the day or time that I wanted. I ended up changing some of the days around. I was able to get what I wanted because the cast member that I was talking to was really helpful. I'm going Nov 30 to Dec 7 during free dining. I know that some people are having a great experience with the online system but it didn't really work great for me.

6 am. I read if you book thru a travel agent you may have trouble accessing your account online. I booked thru Disney direct. You have to link your reservation to your online booking session to book 10 days worth ahead.

We used it for our trip Aug 28-Sept 5 and had no problems at all. I had booked my ADR's by phone near the 90 day mark and used the online system to change some of the ressies and add others. I liked the feeling of being
"in control" while using it, not waiting for someone on the other end of the phone to tell me what's available.

We booked all of our ADR's online and even switched them around and cancelled the ones we didn't want. I did however print off a copy of each adr showing the reservation number just in case. It was such a breeze. I wish they had it going a long time ago:goodvibes

I would get up before 6 am EST and get logged on.

It is so easy. I had to get up and book online for a few days as we are staying for 14 nights. I only had a problem the last morning as it didn't recognize my reservation # and wouldn't bring up my last date. I called at 7 and was able to get CM for a late breakfast on our check out day.

I used it a few weeks ago to reserve for my parents & then @ 6am last week for my trip. I was done by 6:10!! The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't book the Fantasmic package.... still had to call. I was on hold for just under an hour!! :scared1: But I got what I wanted!!:cloud9:

That's ok, all that waiting is good practice for the parks!

BTW, I've been lurking here for about a year.... but this is my first post! Thanks for all of the great info DISers!:flower3:

I used it to make our ADR's for our late August trip and had no problems at all. I changed several, cancelled some and it worked great. I printed out the confirm numbers just as your TA would and everything was fine. Sounds like some TA's are getting nervous that their services will soon no longer be required. LOL.

I am a TA..I booked all of my ADR's online and I could have called my 1-800 number but it worked so efficiently, it made no sense not to! I think it's a great idea...and I'm not worried that letting the Client book their own will be bad for business one bit! If that's all I have to offer I am in trouble....

I'm confused Mike. I booked through a TA, yet still did my own dining reservtions. My TA offered, it was MY choice to do my own because I'm a control freak. :lmao:

So why would the fact that I did my own dining ressie's make my TA nervous that I don't need their services? :confused3

I printed and brought my ADR's with me, but when I showed up to a few locations they told me that they were cancelled. HUH? The fact that I had confirmations didn't matter, as those reservation numbers were cancelled out. It was a nightmare. If I ever use the on-line dining again - at the very least - I'll call to check them before I leave for my trip. :thumbsup2

I think I'm going to call in and if I need to cancel or change anything I'll it on -line. I just hope I don't have too long of a wait!

I'm getting more excited now.

Thanks again.

Selena:goodvibes

my TA would have called my ADR in for free but I'm also a control freak and I need to call . LOL

We did all of our ADRs online on our 90 day mark and got everything we wanted. We've used it since to get better times and days that we wanted for a couple of restaurants too. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

so then I tried on-line and it looks like this is down as well. So much for getting up early on a sunday!!:confused3

I guess I try later and hope I still get what I want.

On a positive note no one else can book either! :thumbsup2

ACK! I HATE it when the computers are down. Sorry, hope that it all works out for you! :thumbsup2

LOL...I'm glad it's not just me. :rotfl:

I'm going to check all my dining reservations right now. They better be there!

Yup, they're all there! We're good to go!

I loved the online system. I was able to add some, and I even got times for Le Cellier (didn't go though.....we did Coral Reef instead.) I wouldn't hesitate to use it again! :thumbsup2
