Anyone used the new magicbands?

I have been looking at the accessories for the magic bands and was wondering if I could use "Jibbitz" brand shoe charms, like the ones you use on crocs shoes? TIA

No they cannot be used with the MB. Someone had posted earlier that that the clasps are different for holding them on. Of course you can buy MB accessories.

The holes on a MB are much smaller. You could put all sorts of things through them with enough work, but the band is sort of against your skin so you want something with a very low and close profile... unless you want to line it with earrings and point them out like spikes. I suppose that would be great for the morning rush to rides. They really designed it for you to only be able to fit their own accessories.

We just got back from Pop the 14th. We heard that many people were losing bands (us included), and that the little trinkets they sell to stick in the holes easily fell off. I would be wary about spending any money to decorate the band until they figure out better ways to attach the bands AND the decorative things.
Every time I went to pick up one of my kids my MB fell off. They need to work on the design. (The resort only had grey as a replacement, but we got colored bands at Animal Kingdom's guest relations)

We didn't buy any accessories for our magic bands but I saw a lot of people wearing the 2013 slider. I saw a few people with bandits but a lot more of the sliders.

Is this something you can buy online through Disney or do you have to wait until you get to the parks?

The slider is free at the check in desk from what I've heard.

We have the snap in jewel Mickey heads. And band covers. They haven't come off at all except mine once fell off when I banged it hard against some bags I was carrying.

I don't really like the look of the MagicBands so mine is camouflaged with a cover too.

Do they force you to get the magicbands? or can you get your UT tickets just linked to the same card that is your room key?

I do not believe you are forced to use the bands. Highly encouraged but not forced.

Oh wow, they didn't offer the slider to us at check in at Port Orleans Riverside. :-(
