Also...I've read that you can have information sent to you about the spa services at GF and DI.
Anyone know how to acquire the brochures??
Thanks in advance.
You can call 407-824-2332 and they will send you a brochure for the GF spa.
As far as the bathing suit for the massage, you can if you want. Normally it goes like this:
(This is for the GF Spa specifically)
You get to the spa, and are taken to the lounge area. There is a sitting area with soft lighting and new age type music playing, and very comfortable seating. To one side is a door leading into the area with the jacuzzi and sauna, in the other direction is the locker area. off that there is an area with toilets and sinks, as well as a room with a couple showers. (One is a roll-in style for disabled guests.)
You are given a robe and flip flops to wear. If you have arrived early enough you can sit in the jacuzzi or sauna, bathing suits are optional, so don't be suprised to see people in the jacuzzi with no bathing suit on. Usually they do wear a suit, but I have seen them without one. (This is NOT co-ed)
But I digress. You are instructed to put the robe on. If you are having a facial, pedicure, etc., generally you would leave your undies on, but with a massage normally you would take them off. With a pedicure and manicure they genreally don't bother with the robe, unless you are wearing long pants that would get in the way of the foot soak. There are lockers with keys to store your belongings in. You can change in the locker room area, but are also welcome to use a private area in the room with the toilets, or the dressing area by the showers.
Once you're ready you sit in the lounge area, and your therapist will come fetch you.
With a massage, they are generally done with you nude. THey therapist leads you to a private massage room, and instructs you to take off the robe and lie down on the table, and cover yourself with a sheet. Then they leave. They knock before they come back and and make sure you are ready for them. They only uncover the part they are working on, and your chest, buttocks and gential areas are ALWAYS left covered. I'm a very modest person, and have never felt uncomfortable, even with a male massuese, although at the GF Spa I've only had females work on me.
They do want you to be comfortable, and you are encouraged to tell them immediately if you are not cmfortable with your treatment.
After the massage you are taken back to the lounge area where you can relax for a few minutes, then you are welcome to shower and dress at your leisure. Because they cover you in oil, and that includes your scalp, you'll probably want to bring some toiletries with you. They do have some basics such as soap and shampoo (in the GF signature Ruby Red Grapefruit scent

), and if you go into the dressing/toilet area there is always a can of spray-on deoderant, some Q-Tips, and mouthwash with little cups. There is also a blow dryer or two, and I want to think they also have disposable combs and razors. The bath towels they provide are nice, large, fluffy and absorbant, use as many as you need.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Sorry this is so long.
