Anyone used Pinocchio's Workshop?

Hiya, I am new here (sorta, I have been reading for WEEKS, lol) and I just love all the helpful information!
We are going in March, I have 2 kids, a 10 year old boy and a girl who will be 8 by then, and I am wondering if anyone who has used the Pinocchio's Workshop deal at the GC can tell me if their kids had fun! My husband is in Iraq and comes home just a few days before we leave, so we are going to have a romantic dinner and night to ourselves, as he goes back to Iraq a few days after we get home.
It's so counter to my impulses to send my kids to daycare while on a Disney trip, but this time it's not all about them! I'm just hoping they will have a good time and won't think it's totally lame.

We put our daughter in Pinocchio's Workshop one night a few months back and she loved it. They took her up to see the fireworks from a balcony on the 5th floor. She asks to go back there everytime we go back.

My son went last summer. He was 6 years old and he loved it. He begged to go back the next night. He still talks about it now. Don't feel bad, just go out and have a great time!

Our kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I felt strange about it too, but they honestly had an amazing time!

We are here now and used it a few nights ago and have used it on previous trips. DS loves it. It's $13 an hour with a two hour min. Dinner is $6.

Technically my daughter will be 4.25-years old on our next visit at the end of September. However, in many ways she can pass as a 5-year old right now. She is pretty tall for her age as well (42-43").

Do you think it is possible for us to pass her off as a 5-year old and enroll her for a night in Pinocchio's Workshop? I know she would love it, and my wife and I could have a nice dinner at Napa.

I can't remember if we had to show proof of her age, but you do fill out a whole bunch of forms as they are regulated by California Daycare legislation, so I really don't think you can send a child under 5 due to liabilities and staffing ratios. I believe you can make arrangements for in room babysitting for younger children but I don't know what the cost is on that.

We did not have to show proof of our children's ages, but I know that it is definitely five and older. There didn't appear to be any children that were on the edge when we were there. I thought it was a bit expensive for the two of our kids, but well worth it. The kids had a blast and we had a nice dinner. They take a picture of your family so they know who can pick them up, which I liked. Come a little early though because you have to fill out a whole stack of papers.

My son was 10 and my daughter was 8 last year when we went. They had a great time! If there are fireworks the night they are at the workshop, they will take them up to watch them from a balcony. You also have the option of having dinner for your children at an additional charge. We normally pick up the paperwork a day or two before and fill it out at our leisure. They will take a picture of you with your children for identification purposes. My kids beg to go, so they must be doing something right!

Sounds like a good deal.
How early should I reserve a spot for my kids. We're going in later October. Should I do it now? Or can it wait till we get there?
My youngest Son is turning 5 the very next day after we want to use it. I hope that works.
