Anyone used Fleet Feet???

Hi! I'm just wondering if anyone has ever used Fleet Feet to purchase their shoes? The closest one to me is in Raleigh, NC and I'm wondering if it's worth my time. I'd like for someone to look at my feet, measure them and recommend a good pair of shoes. They say they do all this, plus watch you run...

Any feedback you guys???

I found the Fleet Feet in Orlando (Altamonte Springs) by accident a couple of months ago.

Had a very good conversation with the owner (Eric), telling him about my Plantar problems and such (I was wearing my Asics Kayanos as street shoes because they aggravated my left foot). He put me on the TM, video taped and analyzed my gait, and recommended inserts. He also measured my feet (both of them) to ensure we put the correct inserts in my shoes. He then video tape my gait and showed me the difference, pre and post insert.

I've been able to put my Kayanos back into rotation, saving me some money.

We talked about shoes, but he never pushed me to buy a pair.

My experience has been a good one and I stop by and see them, when I'm in town.

I have dealt with them for years in Northern CA with great results. They never push anything but are very informative and supportive.

i have used the Columbus OH store -- is this franchised and it depends on the owner?

but definately a trip to a running store is worth it, i'm not sure i have an opinion on what running store is the best. i guess whichever is most convenient for you

I bought my last pair of running shoes at the Raleigh Fleet Feet. They spent a lot of time with me measuring and analyzing, then brought out at least 4 different pairs and encouraged me to try all of them on and run outside in them. Then they have a 30-day return policy, as long as the shoes still look sellable. I was impressed.

I'll probably be going back soon for a new pair.

I use the chain as well. Great owners for the one nearest to me; about an hour away. Lots of different measurements, LOTS of different shoes to test. They sell really great socks & clothes as well.
