My DD just started wearing disposible contacts and uses Acuvue Oasys, we just ran out of our 6 mos supply which was paid for by insurance. Dr's office wants $150 for a 3 month supply and I checked 800contacts and they are $14 for a box of six. Big difference, anyone used them before?

Yes, many times and have always been very happy.

Can you take the information off of the boxes we have now, or do you need an actual prescription?

I was just pricing Acuvue Oasys (I wear the astigmatism ones) and aclens was much cheaper ($15 a box cheaper) than 800contacts

I have ordered from acleans for years and have been satisfied.

It seems like what I did was took info from box and also had to put in docs info so they could call and verify.

FYI - I priced my contacts and the cheapest place to get them was from Walgreens online when they have their specials.

If you order thru 800 contacts, you'll get the package rather quickly. I want to say I received it a day or two after I ordered it. I was quite surprised by that. I wonder if its because they have the deal with Walmart now. :confused3

I've used them multiple times for my son & myself, no problems. They come in quickly & are quite a bit less than ordering from the doctor's office.:thumbsup2

We had to do this too~ we've been using them for about a year now and have been very happy.

I've used them before and never had a problem. I just use Wal-Mart now since it is cheaper.

i use opticontacts and never had a problem. they were cheaper and delivery was very fast. Just letting you know there is another option to 1800 contacts :thumbsup2

I've been using them for about a decade, maybe longer. They do call and verify the RX so you'll need to provide that info.

Yep, used them in the past and had no problems. They often send out coupons as well......so look online for a discount code you can add to your order. This year the doctor changed the type of lenses I wear. I found a better price at vision direct. They are owned by drugstore.com. Had no problems with them either.

Your doctor should have provided you with a written copy of your prescription. I was able to make a copy of it and email it to them. I've also just taken the info off the boxes and filled in the doctor's information. Either way they'll verify it and make sure the prescription is valid within 12 months.

regards

I've been ordering (parents when I was younger) from 1800Contacts since I started wearing contacts, almost a decade ago. My mom has been using them even longer. Never had any problems. The prices are great and delivery is fairly quick.

Wrong, you still use them. Walmart orders come right from 1-800-CONTACTS. It's even printed right on the label of the generic Walmart contact solution.

I am switching to give Walmart a try since the cost has doubled since canceling my eye insurance (still cheaper than paying for everything out of pocket PLUS paying for the worthless insurance.) I've yet to order anything from 1800CONTACTS yet though.

I wear Toric66 which is Boush & Lomb I think. 1-800Contacts was $35 per box (of 6) and I found VisionDirect, which was $25 per box minus a $10 coupon and even cheaper if I ordered more than a box for each eye. I tried, but my prescription had run out.
