Thinking of downloading it on the xbox360. We cut our satellite and have been happily relying on netflix and hulu plus for a few weeks now. I found VUDU to rent newer movies, ones that arent at our redbox. Has anyone used it before?

We recently began using it after we bought a blu-ray player that has the program. We cut our cable long ago and had been using Netflix and Hulu through Roku (which is no longer necessary due to our new player linking up to all these programs). We like RedBox every once in a while, too.

So far, we have watched one movie through VUDU using the free credit you get when you sign up. Quality seems just fine. They have deals like .99 rental of the day. As far as the timing of new releases, The Huntsman (for example) is available to buy beginning 9/1 and to rent 9/11. VUDU does have new releases and older films available to buy/rent, but the selection appears good but not extensive from what I've browsed through. They have some free shorts like Scrat clips from Ice Age.

Not sure if it's any better than others like Amazon Instant Video (which we've also tried).

So... it works fine if you are willing to pay for the rental (3.99-5.99 for new releases) and can find what you want.
