Anyone use the Hidden Mickeys Guide?

Hi Pam!
My boys and I purchased the book last week at our local bookstore!! Our next trip to Disney isn't until June 2004 so we haven't had a chance to use it but I have glanced over it. My boys can't wait to find each one. My biggest fear is that once you begin to hunt for them you may not be able to stop!! We probably won't be able to get the boys to do anything else. They are like me we all love a good challenge so I think it should be a lot of fun!!!

We used it on our last trip...it's such a convenient size that it fit in my purse and we had fun looking for the hidden Mickey's throughout the week. We even found some of our own!

Can you tell me the exact title and author of this guide, and where you are able to puchase it? We would LOVE to have a copy of this for our upcoming trip! Thanks!

Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World's Best Kept Secrets

I bought & used it for my last trip (June '03) - AND I Loved it! It was very neat - Most of the Mickey's are right where they said they were & easy to spot! We got about 50 - we didn't try to find them all. If I ever figure out how to post pictures on the net, I'll have a whole site on them!

It was well worth the $10 - Even if you just flip thru it on the way down there!

I was wondering how easy to photgraph (and legible after the fact) they are. I was thinking of making a photo album of just hidden mickeys?

Thanks
Sandy

Sandy,

We were interested in taking pictures too, since we love to scrapbook our Disney trips...some of the hidden mickeys were large enough to notice in pictures and some weren't. We have a digital camera, so we deleted the ones that were impossible to see and were able to enlarge some of them too.

For instance, the hidden Mickey made of pebbles outside at AK was easy to capture...the hidden Mickey hanging from a light in Pirates at MK was impossible.

Have fun! :D

My DD (11) and I used the book this last May. (2003) We had a great time going on familiar rides and finding Mickeys we had never seen before. For some, like Test Track, you are going too fast to snap a picture. We were just happy to spot them on our way by. Others are easier to get a picture of. (DD has even promised she will *let* me ride "It's a Small World" as long as we are looking for hidden Mickey's)

Bought it prior to our trip last month and found it very interesting. We located many Hidden Mickey's we would not have EVER thought to look for.
