I bought the new fisher price kids camera but was thinking of returning that for the disney one. Anyone use them yet? I cannot find a review for the life of me.

Sending you to the top so hopefully someone who has seen one can help you out.

Me Too ~ should we exchange??? :confused3

i'm not convinced that any of the new disney cameras are actually available for sale yet. i'm interested in the max IF it seems like it will hold up to dropping a few times.

I only saw the cars micro (the one without the screen) but I'm sure they should be getting the other ones in. They are also at disneyshopping.com

Best Buy had all three in stock.

Anyone have a link to these? My nephews are 5 and love to take pictures, but have a little trouble with my Dimage. Maybe this would be good for them!?

i'm interested in one for my 2 1/2 yr old grandbaby...anyone know the resolution on the fisher price vrs the disney and durability factor..i saw a tink camera in the disney store that didn't really impress me plus i think the buttons etc seemed a little more difficult for a toddler( think the age was 4 or 5 vrs the 3 for the fp). any opinions would be helpful, thanks

right now she takes "pictures" by looking through the attachment hole on my tripod but for some reason they are all out of focus ;) ..must take after her grandma :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I saw the camera at Toys R Us also. For a kid, and especially for the first one, I would stay under $100. Simply because there is a larger chance that something could happen to it, and the more it costs the harder it would be to replace.

my local bestbuy only had micro and click. and they only had the pirates click. no max at all. :(

I just bought this for my niece for Christmas. Of course I had to open it up and make sure it "worked" It does. Resolution is not that great, but it is fun little starter camera, and hopefully she will enjoy it, and want to go with me to take some pictures. The software is very good too, lots of backgrounds, stickers, stamps, and other fun stuff.

Also it is on sale this week at Best Buy for $39.99.

I just bought this today (at Best Buy) for my 4 yo daughter and checked it out to see whether or not I'll keep it. The picture quality is what I expected (640 x 480), about the same as a Treo 650 camera. But the flash works, the controls seem pretty easy to use, & the Ariel design is cute. I have a Mac so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to transfer the photos to it. The USB cable (included) worked fine. My husband has a pc so I guess we'll have to use the Disney editing software on his computer. One thing though: I couldn't get the camera to turn off! It does shut itself off after 1 min., so I guess that's not really a problem.

All in all, it's a cute, kid-friendly colorful camera and we'll keep it (assuming my daughter will like it...).

BTW, I also looked at the Fisher Price camera but decided against it in that it seemed a little babyish in style and the Disney one is cheaper (& $10 off @ Best Buy through 12/9/06.

I guess it's the Max that I bought my daughter (the one that is reg. about $70-80). I got it online on thanksgiving for store pick up at Best Buy for $49. I had already bought her the Fisher Price camera, but then read reviews and decided to take her up to at least the 3 megapixels. I want to take it out of the package and get a shot of Santa (so maybe she'll buy that Santa was taking pictures of himself!!) She'll be so excited and I'll be thrilled to have her keeping her little hands off my camera!

To anyone who has already purchased a Pix-Click (not the Micro and not the Max)...

Every advertisement I see uses Disney's standard press release info, which says:

~ "includes 2 additional faceplates"

OR

~ "Comes with.....2 interchangeable face plates with stylish character graphics"

Has ANYONE actually purchased one of these that had more than the one face plate included in the box?? Not a single box that I have seen had or even SAID it had an extra faceplate of any kind. I have purchased 2 of these for my son and his best friend, and I'm just trying to nail this down.

This is driving me NUTS! :badpc:

(I've even called Disney shopping, and they had no idea but put in an e-mail for me to the distributor to request more information. The distributor is supposed to send an answer directly to me, but I'm not holding my breath.)

I know what you're talking about — I saw those press releases as well — but there were no extra faceplates in my package, nor any info on how to get them.

Same here. If you find anything out, let us know. If we can get free faceplates, I am so down with that :)
