A few months ago, Enterprise offered a convertible rate of 99.00 per week. I was curious to see if anyone has actually rented yet and if there were any problems. Thanks!
I'm interested in this also, and would like to know how much luggage fits in the trunk of a convertible.
Check with your insurance agent and check your credit card rules to see if you have rental collision coverage for a convertible. Otherwise you need to buy that coverage for the rental company, typically something like $15. per day.
If I remember correctly the Enterprise rate did not go into effect for rental pickups until October 1st. It may have been available prior to that date for a day or two but I think most pickups were probably scheduled after 10/1 hence no response. You would probably have heard by now if they were not going to honor the rate or try to change your vehicle class.
There is not much room at all in the trunk for checked luggage we put ours in the back seat.
We are ok with insurance. Our agent said the policy is the same for a rental as if we owned the car. I'm just curious to see if anyone else has been able to take advantage of this offer. I have a written confirmation, so hopefully we are set.
For people wondering about the insurance issue with renting a convertible, my insurance company stated it didn't matter what kind of car it was as long as the retail value did not exceed $100,000.
Of course, everyone has to check out their own policies.
Was the Volvo also a convertible and was it for the same price??![]()
