Anyone use Synchrony Bank?

I guess it's an online only bank, but they have good rates. Just wondered if anyone had used them and what you thought about them.

I don't have any personal experience. However, if it makes you feel any better it's actually just the new name for GE Capital. Sounds like a new bank but really just a rebranding of an old one.

I have had no issues, my financing for my mattress purchase through Sleepy's was with them. There was no interest financing if paid in full in 18 months or something. Paid it off much quicker as the interest rates they offered after weren't so great.

We have a CD and an online savings account with them, as well as with Ally Bank. They do have good interest rates.

They just took over one of my credit cards (ToysRUs rewards card) a few months ago. No issues at this point. A credit card is different than banking though.

Kind of the same thing here. I have a Wal-Mart CC that was through GE Bank, and got all the notices that they had changed to Synchrony. Haven't had any issues with them, but all I have is the CC.

DH's Dillards Card is now thorugh them - i haven't noticed anything differnet - but like someone else posted - cc vs acct
