I've always used Tiffany in the past, but last time they "lost" my return reservation which was a hassle, and I've read a few other negative comments on the boards recently. So I've been thinking of trying Sunray - I've only read good comments about them - and at $82 round trip they're the cheapest! Any comments?

You pay your money you take your chances.

Sorry, but having hung out here for years I can honestly say that ALL of these companies have days and/or drivers where they completely drop the ball. (And when they do, the overall response is less then stellar!)

Tara,

I just used Sunray the beginning of October (and March, and December, and...). I can honestly say that I have had nothing but excellent service from them. If you use them, tell em Pam says hello. :wave2: Of course, I will tell them myself when I see them on 12/1
Even when our flight was delayed 2 hours, they were there waiting for us at the bottom of the escalator.

I've never seen any negative comments made about Sunray.

I recommended them to a friend of mine for their January '07 trip, and they didn't have anything but praise for the company.

I know it is not a very recent review, however, I wanted to share the experience.

We will be using Sunray tomorrow afternoon! We actually just had to call them due to an error on our behalf. We originally setup plans with them in feburary for our november trip. Our flight number and arrival time changed and changed over the summer. This fall we have been working long weeks and lost track of time. So we failed to contact Sunray and tell them of our true flight#/time!!!! We were out in vegas this week for a wedding., so my mind has been all over the place. I CANT belive we forgot this.

SO at 7:30 pm on the day before we called Sunray and said SORRY! I was totally prepared for them not to be able to accomodate us. Which if they did I would of been very very very upset with myself!!! BUT, Sunray said "we will reswitch things around and pick you up at your new time". WOWEEE what a great service. I'm grateful that this is an accomidating company. They have my vote so far!!!

We used them in July for a trip to Universal- they were great!! Very prompt, friendly, and the SUV was spotless. And of course the price was VERY good! We will use them again. I hope you give them a try- I don't think you will be disappointed! :thumbsup2

Used them in Aug. and will use them in the future. They are top notch. I've also never read a negative about them. They take their reputation very seriously. I believe most of the business they get is word of mouth.

I've posted reviews in the Transportation section many times about Sunray and experiences. They are first class, excellent service company. Our last trip we used them, we arrived 3 1/2 hours late coming into Kissimmee train station and Roger was there, sign in hand, engine and AC running to greet us. took our baggage claims and retrieved our luggage while we waited in the SUV, chilling in the AC. He stated they keep abreast of arrivals and prepare for the good and bad, we called him by cell after our train ran over a person in SC to announce our delay and he stated, no problem. Great company.......... great service............great grocery and liquor stop..........and above all great price. We've used cabs before and the fare with tip RT was close to 80 bucks, no grocery stop, non english speaking people, dirty smoke infused cab and so so AC, disgusting, 2 bucks more, great SUV, service and American owned.

Thanks for all of your replies - and yes Pepe of Ohio I did see your posting on another thread - sorry to make you re-type it! I made my resservation with them yesterday. They said not to pay them until I get there - is that normal? I'm used to a credit card payment up front with others. Do they always use the same driver for both pick-ups? I wonder if I should split the tip, half on the way down, and half on the way back - just in case I get someone different for the way home. But I don't want to seem cheap by not giving it all up front!

Typed words can be given many different meanings. On the different drivers, can't really say, we had the same driver, Roger, coming and going, and we gave him cash on arrival plus tip. Taking us back, a fond thank you and hope to see us next time.

We split the tip. We had Bob for arrival, and Roger for pickup. I don't think they would think you are cheap- they are so nice! :)

We use Sunray on every trip. They're the best. We always do the grocery stop, so we tip $15 to the MCO-WDW driver (since they always help with the groceries) and $10 to the WDW-MCO driver.
