Hi everyone,

I made a reservation with Alamo for our next trip to WDW, and the reservation info says "Quicksilver kiosk not available at this location." SO I called Alamo MCO to find out what that means. A lady at Alamo told me that they have a Quicksilver desk where you pick up your car.

Isn't that what Quicksilver is supposed to avoid?

Has anyone used this new set up?

A QS desk is dedicated to QS members only. We used it before Alamo moved to the airport and it is almost as fast as the kiosk (which we could not use cause it was a priceline ressie.)

Does anyone elso have experience with this at MCO? I'm contemplating joining Quicksilver because I don't want a long wait. How is the wait now that Alamo is at MCO? THanks in advance.

I was looking at Quicksilver on the Alamo site and you have to have a corporate ID. My companies official rental company is Avis. Mousesavers suggests you register as a small business and get an ID, I don't know about that. Anyone else try that?

DebbieB,

I did this (via the link on mousesavers.com) and I was given a corporate id after I filled out a short form. This ID# pops up a few seconds after you hit the submit button.

I am using the Quicksilver program for both an Alamo reservation and a priceline one this January. I will tell you all how it goes.

I just registered with QS through our small business. The site gave me a corporate ID #, but I still can not log into the site with it. I'll give it a few more days to get in the system.

I rented from Alamo using Quicksilver on 12/23. My flight arrived at 9:30 a.m., and there was no one in the Alamo line (Quicksilver or otherwise). There were ropes to indicate a separate Quicksilver line. After presenting my Quicksilver card and drivers license, the agent printed the paperwork like they always do at the counter. I signed the forms and was told to go to the National/Alamo area in the garage and pick the SUV (car type that I rented) that I wanted. When he was finished, he said that since I was Quicksilver, I could have gone straight to the garage and just checked out at the booth.

Note: the Alamo and National cars are together. The return lines are separate, but next to each other.

That is a wonderful tip, thank you!!! :)

Alamo told me that you must go to the counter the first time you use Quicksilver to sign the paperwork. Is this still true for first time users? If so, I suppose there is no way to go straight to the garage.

Anyone have any info on this?
