Anyone use Priceline for extra nights?

We're doing the land/sea thing but will arrive 2 days early and stay one day after the cruise returns. I love using priceline when I don't care where we stay because I've always gotten a great deal.

Does this work well for the highly popular Orlando/Port Canaveral areas? I'm even willing to stay outside those areas, within an hour or so. What areas do you suggest I try?

And, are my options better just before leaving, rather than trying to have it planned a month or so out?

TIA!

if you are flying out of Orlando - then try it - and yes priceline works GREAT in Orlando.

I don't know about the Port Canaveral areas - don't think their hotels are that great - until you go up the coast to Daytona or down to VB (might be Melbourne or Sebastian too)

I should have mentioned, we're driving so that frees us up a lot with our options.

It's good to know it works in Orlando also. One of my travel books detailed the hotels in PC and I didn't see anything that great for what they cost. So, yes, I'm definitely open to staying somewhere other than PC.

Thanks!
