Friend says he is using the free trial offer right now and thinks it's a great service. Being he is brand new with it, he obviously hasn't encountered any problems yet. Would like to hear opinions from someone who has used it a while.

LOVE IT.

I remember we did have a couple of cracked discs in the beginning but they make the reporting/returning process so easy. It's been smooth sailing otherwise.

I especially LOVE not giving blockbuster any more of my business.

I used it--it is no problem in discontinuing and renewing. I sometimes not have a membership if I need to put the extra $$$ somewhere else. They are good in customer service and fast turnaround in rentals.

We re-signed up last month. We love the service, but had to cancel last time due to finances.

We had one DVD get lost and reported it they sent us another one no problem. And we had one that would not play (scratched up) so they sent us a new one.

I keep my rental Queue full of movies. I go to Blockbuster.com and look at all the new releases/coming soon and add them to my Queue.

We also enjoy Netflix. The few minor problems we've had, as stated by others, have been resolved quickly and easily.

I've been using netflix for about 4 years now. I think its great. I will occasionally still go to blockbuster if I haven't returned my movies yet to get new ones.

I like having the queue to check whats coming next. I also like getting the emails when they've received what I sent back and when they are sending the next movie. THe turn around time is pretty fast and you can't beat the free shipping.

I've been a member just over a year and really like it.

Have only had a few minor problems... once they sent a movie that wasn't on my list, "Chocolat", but we watched it and liked it so no big deal...a couple times it's taken a few days longer than it should have to receive a movie but that could be the post office's fault too....and once they sent a movie that just would not play, it just sat there in the machine spinning but wouldn't play....they sent a replacement and it wouldn't play either so I don't know what was up with that....but for the most part it's a great service.

After my year anniversary came, I added up the number of movies we'd seen and divided it by the cost and it came out to about $2 per movie, cheaper than renting in town and no driving back to return them, or late fees if I didn't get them back in time. I love that!!

And they pretty much have just about every movie that has been made on DVD, which most video stores do not do so it's great to be able to see some of the older ones sometimes.

I use Netflix also. I like it. I have had a couple of DVD's that would not play. I contacted them and they sent replacements right away. I had gotten the wrong DVD once and they sent the right one right away. That is all the problems I have had with them. The turn around time is quick. One of the things I like is if something comes up and you can not watch right away, you don't have to worry about late fees. Very seldom I don't get the first DVD on my list. It does happen, especially with new releases. I have actually have watched and gotten a second group of DVD's in one week. Most of the time I get a set a week. I do not send them all in at once. I do send them in as I finish watching them. The current ones I have, I have had for a week because we went to Chicago last weekend. We live in an appartment complex and our mailperson at first was putting mine in the wrong mailbox and I was getting someone else's. That stopped very quickly when I told her.

I have to say I'm really stunned by all the positive remarks! Definitely going to sign up for this! Thanks everyone!!! :wave2:

We have used Netflix for years and absolutely love it. Twice a movie got lost in the mail, but there was no problem about it whatsoever.

I like not having to go to a video store twice per movie. I like that I don't have to worry if my movie is "IN".

And I particularly like the selection at Netflix. They seem to have pretty much any old movie you might want....by old, I mean the classics. Plus, they have all the TV shows and mini series that have been put on DVD.

There is nothing about their service we don't like.

We use Netflix and even though we live so far from the states they get here very fast, usually 3 days. I love how easy it is.

We use it and it is a great service. I dont mind getting movies for the kids, because as others have said...it is cheaper then blockbuster. Plus the hassle of dragging my pregnant self and two little kids in and out of the car to pick out and return movies. My only complaint is that the new releases dont come in as fast as Blockbuster.

For example, Win a Date with Todd Hamilton is at Blockbuster and netflix still hasnt gotten it in..but is that a HUGE deal..nope.

Plus, as others have said, it is a great way to catch up on movies you have never seen. For me..Casablanca. I have never seen it and while I wait for the new releases..I can watch that.

Also, we are leaving for Disney without the kids next week. So I put all Nick Jr and Sesame Movies in my Queue so my kids will have them for the week we leave and as others have said, I can do that becuase there is no due date.

Another vote YES from me! We have had Netflix for almost a year... we love it. We too have had a cracked disc and one that won't play every once in awhile, but just pop it back in the mail and they will either replace or send you the next movie in your queue. We love having something to watch all the time - of our choice. We actually cancelled all but basic cable - got rid of our movie channels and saved $50 on our cable bill - spend $20 for netflix and see whatever we want! Quick turnaround time - they are great!

Note: You can put a "not yet released" movie (ie... Win a date with Todd) in your queue and move it up when it is released.

I check blockbusters.com for new releases and upcoming releases and put them in my queue so I won't forget!

We love love love Netflix. It is so much easier than renting videos from Blockbuster. So many times we used to be bored at home and would have to go out and drive to the store. Now there are always 2-3 choices of movies sitting on our coffee table waiting for us.

The webiste is sooooo easy to use. I do what many other posters mention, I look on websites for new releases and add them to our queue. I have never had the wrong disc shipped or had one that wouldn't play. Some do come pretty scratched up but a simple wiping with a cloth DH has for CD's/DVD's usually does the trick.

I have to say we more than have gotten our money's worth. Many night we probably would have gone out to the movies and blown $40-50 on the movie and popcorn. So Netflix has saved us a ton that way as well and now I feel like I haven't missed nearly as many movies as I used to.

Onecoolmama-Tad Hamilton is in. It was sent out to me the day before it was officially released on DVD. Just do a search for the title.

I find that there new release section is not very good. But if you type in the title it always shows up. I save it to my 'save' section in my Queue even if the release date is in the future. Then, when they know the date, it is automatically added to my Queue.

We've only been members for a week and LOVE it. In our area the turn around time is 1 day. Signed up Thursday, got our first set Saturday, watched them and sent them back Tuesday, got next set today. So we've only been members for a week and already have seen 6 movies. I figure if I would have rented these from Blockbuster it would have been $24.00 already. So we'd average 312 movies a year, $1244.00 a year from Blockbuster :earseek: ... Netflix this is only $252 a year. Of course I don't think I'd rent as many if I had to pay $4.00 a movie, but hey... I cx'd cable when I signed up and don't miss it at all (got small tv top ant. for locals and fox). So I guess my price per movie is around .80 cents if I keep up this pace. :hyper:

Oh yeah the other WONDERFUL thing about this service, is they have practically EVERY movie, full season televsion show DVD's and special interest (concerts, magic, learning). According to their site over 18,000 selections with the average movie store only carrying 300-400 unique titles. Pretty good in my opinion. I think it's a steal. ::yes::

Forgot to add, I was paying $176.00 a month for full digital cable w/ net. So now I'm paying $29.95 for Earthlink DSL and 21.95 for Netflix.... much better... lol!

Also they offer smaller and larger packages... 2 movies at a time for $13.00 I think, and 8 movies at a time for 38.00 I think. The trial is for 2 weeks and it's the 3 movie trial.

And I've been told that if you go on vacation you can suspend your account.
