Anyone use MS for Airline Tickets-Car...

Hi!

Does anyone use Member Services for Airline tickets or Car Rentals or whatever else they offer?

If so, for convenience or what reason?

If not - why?

Booked two trips for later this year - August will be our 1st trip home and Member Services lady [ who was extremely nice, might I add ] told me they can book the airfare and can get corporate rate for car rental.

Just wondering what all of you experienced DVC'ers do and why.

I have priced using MS and always found better deals doing it on my own. Southwest just opened reservations for flights to Aug 3rd. PHL to MCO is $79 + tax and fees oneway. that ends up being $178 R/T. Don't forget Magical Express for a FREE ride from the AP to WDW and back. You can get a car at the Dolphin if needed.

I used to always use MS for the travel arrangements and they usually came up with good pricing. Since on-line booking has become the norm, it's not as essential to use them any more.

That said, I did use them to book my rental car this trip. The corporate deal they have now is with Alamo and they did come up with a good rate. My brother had been doing some research into it and said the rate was better than anything he had found, even with discounts. It's also guaranteed to your DVC membership card rather than to a credit card. Sounds like it will work fine. It's been awhile since I've gone to WDW and it used to be National that DVC had the "deal" with.
