Anyone use EZ Rent a Car @ Tampa

I've been trying to get a decent rate for 3 days Dec. 19-22 out of Tampa. Tried National (almost $300) and Alamo (over $200) so I went thru Travelocity and got an intermediiate car w/EZ for $112.

Anyone have any input?? Things I should be aware of?? I always use National/Alamo so I'm pretty naive when it comes to the smaller companies...

Hey Barb...no answers but I'm looking forward to any advice you get. My ds moved to Tampa this fall and I'll be visiting him and looking to rent a car while I'm there...with most likely a side trip to WDW!!!

Of course, side trips to WDW are a must when within driving distance to Orlando!!!

I have just one word... NO!

I rented from a no name ONCE NEVER AGAIN! The insurance sell was abusive. The return inspection was a joke! (Tried to charge me for DIRT as "damage") Just a horrid experience.

Just wanted to report about my rental from EZ Tampa:

Arrived via shuttle and did paperwork at the counter. Usual push for insurance, etc. but I just said no. Got into a Taurus w/26,000 miles and checked it thoroughly for dents/dings. Started it up and the engine light came on so back inside to complain. Immediately issued another Taurus w/24,000 miles. No dents, just a ding on the front bumper which was noted. Drove it for 3 days and had no problems!!!

While it wasn't as nice and new as National, it was fine for the price I paid. Hope this helps someone else!!
