I am curious if anyone uses ebay to reserve WBC. If you have, or know someone who has, can you please pm me the sellers info? I am a little trigger shy of doing it on ebay, but some of the quotes are excellent. I just wonder if it is too good to be true! Thanks for your time! Have a great day and God Bless :goodvibes

Why would you disregard hundreds of positive ebay feedback and instead need reassurance from one or two people on here? Don't mean to be snarky. I always wonder this when I see these kinds of posts.

I used Ebay for WBC last year. I looked at feedback carefully before submitting a bid. I had no problems with the reservation or the stay. I will do the same for our next trip to WDW. Sorry, I do not recall the name of the seller I used.

There were two things I noticed when researching my stay. There are a few sellers that add a fee to the sale - make sure the price listed includes everything. Also I was leery of buying from new sellers just because you have no history. You can tell by feedback if they sell timeshares regularly or if their feedback is from other sales.

I have no problem with using Ebay for anything. But ebay has been very unfair and a total ripoff to my friends who were earning a living there. They're all gone now from Ebay. :(

Thank you for your replies. The reason I asked here was because I wanted more detailed information than you can get from the positive feedback. We use ebay all the time, buying and selling, but not timeshares. I just wanted some more through information. Thanks!

I used ebay to get a an incredible deal on a presidential suite. No problems to report here.

Not WBC but I did buy a reservation on Ebay for the Marriott Grand Vista. We will be arriving there in two weeks time. I will admit that until I arrive I will be a little nervous. The seller that I rented from has only one feedback comment pertaining to a timeshare but has an over all score of 200. She answered all my questions very quickly and was willing to complete the transaction on my terms. I got emailed confirmations, in my name, before I transferred the money and also called the resort to confirm.

I have rented WBC off Ebay at least 3 times. A couple years ago I got a week in a two bedroom at WBC on Ebay for $257. I Felt like I really scored. The transactions have always gone well. I Haven't seen anything like that recently. I do own there and love going but use my points at another Wyndham resort. WBC is my favorite place to stay in Orlando and we are going back in September.:banana:

We just stayed at WBC and we used Megan Bailey from Goodbuy vacations and had a great experience and the best price I could find. We just switched our November Disney vacation to WBC again.

:dance3:Hi

We just got back from a week at Wyndam Bonnet Creek. We stayed July 20 to July 28 in a 2 bedroom. We booked through the user name travelinqueen. The person we dealt with was Tonya Williams from dreamtravelinc. I believe she is the owner. The communication with Tonya was excellent, the room was great and there was no problem with checking in...we were actually lucky enough to get a view of the Epcot and Magic Kingdom fire works......my kids loved that!

When buyin on Ebay, there was a warning that the reservation would not load on Bonnet Creeks reservation system until just before check-in....I believe the warning was 30-5 days before scheduled check in! I have to say our reservation did not load until the Monday before we arrived ( we checked in on Saturday)!!!:crazy2:

Again everything worked out perfectly and Tonya ALWAYS responded immediately to my emails, but obviously it was a little unsettling.....so be prepared!

I purchased a week at WBC for the last week of November 2013. The seller told me that a reservation number will not be issued until 30 days before arrival. I called ebay about this, and they recommended that I open a case in the dispute center as a way of protecting myself in case the reservation is not received. They said I would lose my ebay buyer protection rights if I didn't do this.
I hate to start a claim against a seller who likely will end up providing the reservation number, but want to protect myself.
Anyone else encounter this issue?
I assume I can call the resort 30 days out to see if there is a reservation in my name?

What is the feedback of the seller? How many reservations have they rented? How long have they been selling? Do they respond to your questions?

Those are the most important details to me when renting reservations on ebay.

There are lots of power sellers who rent reservations on ebay and are no doubt using various tricks to manage their Wyndham points -- a byproduct of these methods is the reservation numbers are done later rather than earlier. Because of these methods, renters get a lower price and the sellers may be able to make a little more money.

However, this may make some people very nervous.

We used ebay in February and everything went perfectly. The sellers feedback was several thousand deep and very positive. I'd be nervous about a new seller with very little feedback, but the high volume sellers all seem legit.

As mentioned by a PP, the reservation didn't load into WBCs system until a week before, but I called WBC and they said this was perfectly normal and not to worry. They were correct and everything went off without a hitch.

We also used Ebay for our stay at WBC last year. The seller was magicalholidays and the guy's name was Don. Great experience. He has 100% positive feedback. Would definitely use him again. Our reservation went in I think about 2 weeks before we got there. It was unsettling at first, but now that I've been through it once and understand the process, I wouldn't bat an eye at it.

We used ebay for our last rental (would have been 2 yrs ago in Oct). We had absolutely no issues. Had a great stay and got an awesome deal. This year prices were quite a bit more.

We use ebay a lot. I have bought and sold for 7 years and have nearly 500 pos feedback. The feedback system is flawed a bit for something like vacation rentals because you cannot leave feedback after a certain time. So, when we got back from our vacation we could NOT leave positive feedback and there was no way around that unfortunately.

We rented through farrell btw. I looked him up recently for this years trip and he has practically the same number of feedback he did last time sadly.
