Anyone Use DME one way?

I was originally going to rent a car, then thought about DME, but would like to be able to stop at the store before going to the resort.
Has anyone had a towncar service pick them up at the airport, stop at the store etc. but use the Magical Express on the way back to the airport?

Not that scenario, but I have used DME one way. DH and I went together, staying at OKW, renting a car. Then I stayed on solo, switching to BCV, for a few more days. Went back to the airport on DME. Except for the fact that my bus came early and almost stranded me (another story), everything went very smoothly. It was my first one way DME experience as well as my first time checking in luggage for the return flight at the hotel, and all went well. And I even flew to Houston, which I see you're from!

We rented a car on our last trip and turned it in at the Car center when we checked out of the Boardwalk stayed one night at All Stars (never again) and picked up DME. We like DME...

We like having a car while there to go to the store and not be rushed to grab and go in 30 minutes.... We can go to the outlets!!!!!!!

whatever towncar service you are going to use make sure you check their website first. Most do not make a grocery stop for a one-way rental, it must be round trip. Now maybe they will for an extra price.

what we do sometimes is rent a car at MCO ,get our groceries and return car at S/D the next day. Cheaper then towncar one-way.

We went to the beach for the first week of our vacation. We rented from Alamo & just returned our car at the Dolphin after checking in.

It was SO easy! We pulled up & unloaded. I went & checked in. Room was not ready so we left our stuff w/ the Bell Service - keeping our "park bag" w/ us. Returned the car - just left the keys w/ the Bell desk at the dolphin. Walked back & had lunch and a couple of beers at Big River - called & the room was ready!

If you are staying at BWV's or BCV's it is very easy to rent one way from National or Alamo & turn in your car at the Dolphin.

In September we rented a car but then dropped it off near the end of our trip and took ME back to the airport. It was nice and easy, but I wouldn't trade having a car at the beginning to go to the grocery store, eat off-site, etc.

In July we stayed at BCV. We like to have a rental car, but still used the service. We gave them our luggage and received our boarding passes then I drove us to the airport and dropped the car off. It was so nice not to have to pack the luggage in the car and then lug it around.
