How is the Club Level at the PBH? What types of food and beverage do they offer?

Thanks, in advance for any info.

Continental breakfast, smoothies and granola bars late morning, mini pasteries afternoon, smoked meats and cheeses 5-7, and cookies at night.

In reading through responses about the PBH Club, I opted to change to a non-club room. Chief amongst complaints include the fact that the club lounge is located on the 3rd floor and the club rooms are on the 5th and 6th (some a great distance.) I decided that an additional $60 a night above a deluxe room was not worth it.

It seems that the Hard Rock and Royal Pacific clubs get rave reviews and Portifino gets mixed, and often poor reviews.

I have not stayed in a PBH club room, nor have I visited the lounge. So, these are not opinions, only observations from reading - and the decision we made.

Actually you can have a room anywhere at PBH and still have club. We were in the east wing, way at the end. It was very inconvenient. We moved after a day.
It's too bad because the lounge itself is very nice, even has a pool table. Just doesn't seem as special as RPR.

Thanks, for the information.

We have stayed at the PBH last year. I'm familiar where the Club Level room is, but did not know what they served. To us it does not matter where are room is located. The PBH is such a beautiful resort, that we love just walking about. This was the best rate room we could get for April 30th, with AP discount.

Do not get Motherfletcher going about the pool table again! LOl Actually our room was quite far from the lounge but I would do club again in a heartbeat. The money and time I saved on sodas alone with two older kids and a diet soda crazed husband was worth it. I mostly enjoyed having breakfast ready. Living with a 16 yr old Barbie can be a trial in the morning. The antipasto hour for our Italian cheese loving family was not missed each day. We even skipped a dinner or two because of it. It depends on how much you will be in the room as well. We left the park everday around 1 and spent the rest of the day enjoying the hotel and our deluxe room. You would not be diisappointed but it may not be for you.

Do not get Motherfletcher going about the pool table again!
Take your own chalk!
By the way, thedisneymom- I'm considering silk Thing 1 and Thing 2 PJs so they can tell us apart at breakfast! Looks like you have quite a trip coming up?

Oh my! How attractive! LOL People at the Disney hotels would kill us. It seems to be a constant topic about how inappropriate it is in the lounge. I say what ever floats your boat you are on vacation. My family would laugh their heads off.
I missed the dance trip, but my husband took my daughter. I wasn't doing too well after Mom died. Soooo now I am going to make up for it. I got the AP rate at Disney. It saved me a bundle! We are doing 2 nights at each of the Disney hotels and 4 nights at PBH. I cannot wait. Have you ever stayed at the Disney hotels that i am going to visit. Everyone is raving about them. I've mostly done the values lately and CSR . Years ago, we stayed at Poly.

We've stayed at all except GF and have toured that several times. We stayed at POR when it was the politically incorrect Dixie Landing a couple of days after 9/11. There was remnants of a hurricane crossing the state and the combination of both made WDW a ghost town.
My daughter and I did AKL and had a blast without even going to the parks. We roamed the halls and found all kinds of interesting things/sights so walk around a little. Are you doing club level at AKL?
My favorite is WL but have had a couple of real nice stays at Poly. Do you know the AP rate is the same as Florida resident rate? Another reason to move to Florida!
If Micheal Jackson can wear pajamas to court, why can't we wear them to the club? I wore the one fish ,two fish PJs, a Bullwinkle Santa hat, Santa Spongebob slippers and a PBH robe to get coffee at the RPR's Orchid Lounge on a dare from the kids early one morning. I went on to the gym and changed. I got more than a few smiles and provided some harmless fun for my Rugrats. I've seen people in the parks wearing alot worse than that!

Hi the disneymom! I am very sorry to hear about your Mom.

I just wanted to say that my family stayed at the AKL last December and really loved it! I would enjoy going back there during warmer weather and just relaxing at the resort. We never had a chance to swim. The food is just amazing at Boma for breakfast and dinner. Like MF said the place is so cool to just walk around and take it all in. I have 2 boys and they loved the bunk beds. Your hotel choices are excellent! I hope your planned trip is all that you want it to be and more! :goodvibes

JessicaR- Thanks so much for the condolences. Also, I think we are going to have a great time. I guess my son coined it correctly when he said AKL seems like more of an experience while the POR is a relaxing hotel. We plan on arriving at AKL first and not going to the parks that day so we can really see all at this resort. The next day we are doing Ak in the morning and depending on how hot it gets we will see if we go anywhere after dinner. Last year the weather was brutal. We always go right after school gets out in NY and are used to June/ July temps but I couldn't bear it after 1PM last year. We started back, ate, and enjoyed the pools in the afternoon. Thanks for all the nice info

Motherfletcher- I am still laughing at you Michael Jackson line. You crack me up.
I am amused how you held up to the attire club challenge and would have acted in the same manner. God help the hotel where we show up at the same time. I cannot refuse a dare and have a really wicked sense of humor.
As far as are we doing club at AKL-I am not sure but I think so. Here's why- We wanated to book an handicapped room but it seems there is only 1 with bedding specific to my needs and something about the view I asked for . So they booked me in a savannah view , charged me the concierge room deposit, and said they wrote I get concierge priviledges. Unfortunately, concierge doesn't know I exist and can't help me because it now isn't written on my ressie. AHHHHHHHHHH! So I tried but couldn't resolve it and I'm just going to see what happens when I arrive. After all, what is the worst that could happen I have a beautiful sav view and they credit me the concierge amount. Poor me ! LOL I think I'll survive. So do you have any summer trips planned? I am so jealous that you go all the time.

I was going to say that! God, some teen girls barely have clothes on in the parks!!!
That is what I like about RPR club. I feel more comfortable running down in my robe. With PBH you are actually right near the lobby.

To get back on topic-
They have beer and wine at the 5 pm offering and sodas, coffee and water is out all day. We smuggled as many sodas (cute little bottles) as we could carry up to the room everytime we left. They open at 6. The continental breakfast includes raspberries and strawberries. Mmmm.
They have 2 computers that you can use. The tables have drawers with games. They have a TV and DVD library where you can check out movies or books.

We have nothing planned yet. The kids want to hit the new coaster at Busch Gardens. I'm going to Tampa in April for a week and might check it out..
Jess is right about Boma. Its kind of expensive but good. The pool is real nice and there are 2 whirlpools hidden behind the pool that I sent quite a while in undisturbed.

CPM- My son and I were walking in the NY section of US and standing in front of the Mummy was 2 girls that could have easily passed for hookers. My son (16) freaked! He was hoping that it was a new ride.
Whats up with the FCUK shirts? Thats pretty bad even if the intitials are for something tame.

I saw the commercial for Busch and it looked great. We've never been there.

As for the shirts-mine wouldn't make it out the door befiore I sliced it up the middle. Where are their parents?
My son goes to Fordham University and they sell hats with initials. It kills me!

Back on topic- Let's not forget those delicious miniature chocolates with raspberry filling that come out with the nightly cookies.

Why is it there post, that take place with in the OP that has nothing to do with the question at hand? :confused3

Sorry, Mad. We're friends and have a tendency to stray. Did we answer your question sufficiently?

Here is the condensed version so you dont have to read all the OT stuff. They really did answer your question prior to going OT a little but made great efforts to get back on track. Me however offered nothing but OT comments and for that I apologize. Have a nice trip! :sunny:

My apologies also!
Are there any other things we can answer for you?

Can you get a club room close to the lounge? What building would you recommend?
