My DF's sisters all sing and his mom keeps hinting that she wants us to have them in the ceremony. Has anyone used someone that they know for vocals, and has anyone used a vocalist at all? Would Disney even let us have our own vocalist? I'm a little hesitant because I like how all the Disney songs sound as an instrumental piece, but when you add words in they don't always sound as romantic and they just don't fit as well. I just don't know how to tell FMIL that I don't want anyone to sing. Ok, so i guess I have two questions for you lovely ladies( and men)! Does Disney allow your own vocalists and then if I decide I don't want them to sing, how in the world do I tell FMIL?!? Thanks everyone! I've been such a lurker, but you all have helped so much in our planning! I really can't thank all of you enough!

Well, this might solve your problem: Disney doesn't allow outside entertainers (i.e. non-Disney contractors) at outdoor venues and in the theme parks. And the charge for a Disney vocalist starts at $650.

Now, if you're planning a ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion, where outside vendors are allowed, you may have to fib to your mom a bit.... :rotfl:

Wow, that just cleared up that whole problem. My ceremony is in EPCOT, so I guess I can't have them sing. Thank you so much for the quick reply!

Question about this - my neice Emily is 5 years old and her Mom, (future SIL, & bridesmaid) keep asking IF SHE CAN SING AT OUR WEDDING! She sings at all of the family functions. Honestly, she's a little girl and I love my neices & nephews and it would mean alot more to her to do this than the annoyance to me that I have to plan this a little and let a 5 year old sing at my wedding.

I'll make this clear, I wouldn't have ASKED to have her sing, but I just can't break her heart and tell her no either, catch my drift??? It's one song at my whole day & it would mean the world to her

All that being said, is this allowed??? Will the DJ give her a pic to sing?

I don't think they have a problem with that (frankly, it sounds adorable! :goodvibes ). I think they just don't want you out someplace where other guests can see with some lounge lizard you got from WeddingSingersRUs.com caterwauling at the top of his lungs and giving Disney a bad name... :rotfl:

It will be absolutely adorable and Emily will love it. I think I'm more frustrated with SIL because she can be pushy and won't let up on it at all, lol

She's such a cutie and honestly she's not a half bad singer either. I just didn't know if Disney will be strict on this.

Tell you what, at PS or if a get a chance to email my planner, I'll ask report back to you all to let you know the official word:thumbsup2

we are having a volcalist, my DF's sister. She is singing a short version of a song while we light our unity candle. my planner said all they need is the music sheet (if they dont have it already) and the person must be @ the site by 4 pm before the wedding.

What locations are you using for your wedding?
