Anyone use a Palm?

I was wondering if anyone in DIS land is using a Palm for organizing their trip? I just got one & would love some advice/tips from anyone who uses theirs. Thanks a bunch!

I use a Palm for everything. All I do for planning WDW trips is setup a category in Memo and start making files of everything I see or hear somewhere for instance I have files with restaurants to try in each of the parks and what it was I thought I wanted to try there. I also have files with everything from packing tips to car toy tips. If you have a specific question feel free to ask.

I'm copying lists of the hidden mickeys and little secrets into the memo portion of the desktop and they when I hotsync it's on my palm. This is the first time I'm going to try using it there.

I would put the hidden mickeys in the todo list application. That way you can check them off when you find them.

eGuides To Go pleased to announce the release of the first edition of Walt Disney World To Go, the first of the electronic guides to Disney resorts coast-to-coast.

The guides are intended to be used as a resource while at a Disney resort, not planning to get there. The guides are available in multiple formats, for use on Palm OS platforms -- Wired, wireless and stand alone and on standard Internet browsers. These guides have just the information one needs while at a Disney resort.

Keep in mind that this preview of the first edition of Walt Disney World To Go is formatted for Palm OS devices, so it may look a little strange when using a standard web browser.

I took my PDA to WDW the past 2 years and I will be using it again later this month, here is how I used my PDA for both planning and at WDW:

In Memo Pad I created a category call WDW, where I listed my PS, attractions to see, driving directions, DVC information and my trip report.

In Date Book I manage my daily schedule and the attractions I visited, using Note to write a quick summary then transfer it back to trip report after I returned to the resort.

AvantGo channels: INTERCOT's Disney World News. Orlando Park Hours, which gives you 1 or 2 months of operating hours for all WDW parks as well as USF, IOA & Seaworld. Menus From Around The World.

Doc-To-Go is a 3rd party software that came with my Sony Clie, I created an Expense Report in Sheet-To-Go, this way I can keep track of expenses during my trip (although I prefer the Expense program that came standard with my old Vsor Dx), In Word-To-Go I copy & paste many informations: Hidden Mickeys location, AP FAQ, BoardWalk Villas FAQ, resorts phone and fax numbers. I will try to write a trip report using this program for my next trip.

PG Pocket is standard software came with my Clie, I loaded pictures from previous WDW trips, I will add more pictures from my next trip, I can also creat a photo slide show and save it.

I registered for these long ago...not sure if my registration is still valid!

Anyway...
You will need a reader installed on your PDA, either iSilo or Plucker. iSilo can be found at http://www.isilo.com/ and Plucker (which is free) is at http://www.plkr.org/. Once you have one of those installed you should be able to see the docs in the appropriate application.

As for me...I put our ADRs in the calendar with our confirmation number in the notes just in case we need it.

Great thread! I ordered a palm a couple of weeks ago since I don't want to take my laptop and don't want to be totally unconnected and now I can't wait to get it all set up!

In the past I've loaded the current menus and entertainment schedules onto my palm right before a trip. I'm hoping that option is still available. It's so handy if, say, you're in MK and your picky eater wants mac n cheese.
