I NEED A GOOD RATE and no matter how hard I try or how many coupons I use, I can NEVER get it:(, everyone here seems to be an expert

We need it at MCO, dont want to take a shuttle, pick up Oct 13 9am return Oct 20 7PM, dont really want ecomony and if the price is right would LOVE a BIG van, that could hold 8 of us. I have the Entertainment book, BJ's member. If van is too expensive a moderate would be wonderful

HELP PLEASE?????

Best I could find was $485.91 for a Ford Excursion. There are not too many vehicles that carry 8 passengers. There are several that carry 7. Do you really need an 8 passenger car?

We have 3 families going and since we have 4 kids if we can get a cheap rental for 8 we will, if not I WOULD STILL LOVE A CHEAP car for 4 :goodvibes
Thanks for checking

OK...the cheapest car for those dates I could find is an economy for $139.33.

Just ran your dates on National and I came up with a full-size car for $217.52 with taxes and fees. The rate is using the AMEX code of 5125601 and a two-car upgrade coupon number 10009416. One of your problems is that since you are returning the car later in the day on the 20th, they will charge you for another day's rental.

Where did you find the Excursion and what codes did you use? We have a GMC Yukon XL (was an excursion but Hertz changed all their excursions) from Hertz.

Ours is just under $900.00 for the week, but we are also travelling over the Thanksgiving week.

But I would love to try your codes to see if it would come down a bit.

THanks!

I din't use any codes. I went to the American Express website. Then, clicked on Travel. Then, clicked on Cars, filled in my dates, and it gave me a big list of choices. I booked my own rental car there, and so far, I have tried every other code, and every other site, and have not found any cheaper than that. Let me know if it works for you!

I don't think anyone is an expert, they/we are just more persevering shop-around-ers. Or are just lucky.

And some of them/us upon finding a cheaper rate cancel what they/we have and rebook.

Travelocity .com usually gives a good selection of several companies although these are all everyday low prices as opposed to coupon specials.

Here is one decent rate I found for you.....Dollar...minivan with Orlando Magicard discount, check the codes on Mousesavers website.... for $316.00 with taxes. This will seat 7 , but I am sure it would work fine for the trip to and from the airport. And seashoreCM is right, we get the really great rates by checking continuously until our trips, looking for a better rate.I am going in Sept for 5 days and had a decent rate with Alamo $142 (I always include the taxes since we always have to pay them!) and never thought I would get a better rate than that. One day I punched in my dates with National Emerald Club, which I would always rather use and got $122 total and yes, I still keep checking!Good Luck!!
