We leave a week from today for Disney (woohoo!! ) and I'm trying to decide on what shoes to take. I have some cute sandals that I love that are quite comfortable, but I know they are not comfortable enough for 10 days of Disney walking! I was at CVS today and saw Dr Scholl's makes a gel insert specifically for sandals (it's slim enough that you can't see it in open shoes). It has a padding on top that feels really comfortable and seems like it would help prevent blisters better than a plain sole. Has anyone tried these???

I haven't tried them, but I wanted to remind you that if you get the inserts you will need to check them in your luggage and can't wear them on the plane.

Has anyone tried them? I am interested too.

thanks for the reminder!!! I was planning on wearing my sneakers on the plane anyway so that would not have been a problem (with all the other stuff I now have to pack in my suitcase, it makes sense to wear the bulkiest shoes to save room!), but good to keep in mind in case I changed my mind at the last minute.

I've used them in several pair of sandals this summer and they're OK, but nothing special. They're really very thin so it doesn't seem that you're getting any benefit from the "gel" part of the insert. I used them for sandals that my feet seemed to slide in and it helped that alot.

I've only used them in sneakers when my foot hurts, and I love them.
