Anyone tried Total Transformation for kids????

I was thinking of purchasing this and hear a lot about it on the radio on my way to work in the morning, but just can't seem to take the leap. Anyone here ever tried it? What is the basis of the package - is it punishment v. reward???? I don't know if this is the right thing for us, but they sure make it sound nice on the radio!

Any input would be appreciated - I am willing to try anything to change my 8 yo son's attitude and behavior!

I have never heard of the program but we used a book called 1-2-3 magic which worked very well, and may be considerably cheaper. I'm not sure what your particular issues were, but the whole basis of 1-2-3 was clear and CONSISTANT conseqences. It worke well for us.

I've never tried the system, but I've heard the radio commercial for it, sounds like a "tough love" system, you can find "Tough love" groups that meet in your area, that I'm sure cost a lot less than the system on the radio and the support would help you deal with your son better. Most of these programs are based on consistant firm discipline. Take it from a parent that has been there- get control of him now, because you haven't seen anything yet. Big difference between 8 year old and 16 year old, and if you can't control him now, it's only going to get worse. Good luck, be firm, be consistent.

We have been using it with our almost 3 yr old. I know there is a huge difference between 3 and 8, but this program can be used at any age. Check it out, you'll be glad you did.
We almost never have to get to 3, he knows that we mean business, and it lets my husband and I act on the same page. Much less conflict between our parenting styles now!
