Anyone think VMK should open earlier?

I don't know about you, but I think VMK should open a little earlier then 10:00 AM. It should open abot 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM. So then instead of going on all night to stay intill the last minute, you can get up at 7:30, wait a half an hour, and then go on untill ( maybe it would close ) about 12:00 PM.
It would be alot easier to stay up to 12:00 ( not that I would or anything ) than stay up to 1:30!

Anyone agree?

Thanks Bellboy, I have to wait until 3pm for it to open and to see closing it would mean that I would still be awake at 6am! I have said that I might go to bed really early one night and wake up at %am just so that I can join you all for closing

How important is closing to everyone? I was thinking that maybe VMK should be open for the full 24 hours. I know they close because they want to make sure there are moderators available to the players, but my proposition is make it a day/night time shift for those moderators. Have some staff members of VMK work the day time hours and the others work the night time hours. I think VMK would benefit from this considering more people would be on the game. A lot of people can't play because the hours interfere with work or other occasions. The hours work well for me but I think everyone should have the same chance to play.

I think it just depends on where you live...

VMK opens for me at 9 am and closes at 12 am which is a pretty good deal.

Yes, I too think it should be open 24/7. I am East Coast, and a grown-up with a job. I'd rather get up 1/2 an hour earlier in the morning and play for 30 mins than stay up so late. Plus, I have four kids and a husband, so it's always a battle for the computer in the evenings! They probably don't have it open 24/7 so that the kids don't stay up all night!

I agree, they should keep it open 24 hours. Not like staff even 'come to your rescue' when you use the call for staff button... and hey, Neopets is open 24/7. And it's also highly moderated, ices accounts like crazy, and is kid-friendly. So why can't they just do what Neopets does, whatever that is, lol.

VMK runs on Pacific Time, mainly bc that's where all the staff work and live. For me and Staff, VMK Opens at 7 am. and Closes at 10 pm. That's perfect timing for me

I actually think VMK time should adjust to your time zone. That way eveyone gets the same amount at the same time. VMK opens at 6am, no way am I waking up that early to play. And closes at 9pm, which I envy lots of east coasters that close at 1 am for them. I'm a huge night owl.

As far as I know, VMK follows Disneyland's park hours (which is why everything is Pacific time). Yavn works there so I would think he needs to be around in case something goes wrong. But I agree that 24 hours would be better for the people not playing in America. Either that or hand over control from Disneyland to one of the overseas Disney parks during the times Disneyland is closed. Who knows what the future holds...

I too am an adult who works and my schedule varies. Some nights i race home just to catch the last hour it is open in my time zone (which it happens to close at midnight here). I am also a night owl so I would be more likely to stay on a bit longer at night and less likely to open in the morning. I think if it were open 24/7 it would make it easier to fit in everyone's schedule and time zone. I'm sure there is some way that they could find to monitor what is going on in VMK outside the usual hours.

It opens at 7a and closes at 10p here, which works with my schedule most of the time since I work with truckers all night until 7am, so it opens right when I get off. The only time it stinks is when I have the night off....then I just sit and wait wait wait. And it usually runs kind of slow at opening. My exitement can't handle this.

10 am to 1 am here. If it were any later I would be up forever! I am a night owl, but now at least I have a time that I have to get off of the computer. Otherwise I would be on VMK all of the time!

Why not? The Sulake VMK department is in CA, Pacific Time. All the staff live on the west coast. VMK closes at 10/1 because that's when the last staff member leaves for the day. I dont think a staff member would want to wake up at 4 in the morning...

Wow! Guess I'm in the minority once again, LOL! I am *glad* VMK is only open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. here. Being the addict that I am, if it opened any earlier, how would I ever get ANYTHING done around here??
