Anyone think this is weird?

We got married on my DH's 20th birthday. It's been good luck -- 24 years and counting!

We're getting married on my 30th birthday this year. I am a teacher so the timing has to be summer (not in FL), winter break, or spring break. We both also love Disney at Christmas and needed a Friday or Monday date. 12/14 falls on a Friday so we chose that date. I'm used to my gifts getting lumped together being a December baby anyway so that's not an issue for me. We've discussed celebrating our anniversary in June so we can take trips (DF's trying to become a teacher too).

I don't think it is weird to get married on your birthday. I am a teacher and we have the last week in October off so we usually go to Disney at this time. My birthday is October 31st so it will be great to have anniversary/birthday trips. Next year my birthday is on a Friday so the minimum would be higher so I am going to get married the day before.

our wedding date is december 16, which is 3 days after my birthday, the day after my mom's birthday, and of course 9 days before christmas. at first i was hesitant to have all of these occasions in the same week, but now i just think it will make the holiday season something to look forward to even more! we chose that day because we love Christmastime at Disney, and DF is a teacher, so it helps that he has some time off for the honeymoon. Also, we thought it would be a good time for guests to travel, since it's during value season (i.e. cheaper room rates) but it's not too busy at the parks yet, and all of the beautiful decorations are up! good luck to whatever you decide!

That is so funny! We were thinking about making our wedding date December 16th (next yr or yr after). Its 2 days after mine, 2 days before DF's and right around the corner from Christmas.
