Does anyone think its weird to have your wedding day on your birthday?
I wanted to get married on my birthday (which is Christmas Eve). Talk about lumping together celebrations. (DF always joked that if we did this he would have to buy me a new car every year.) We decided against it because of the difficulties of our immediate family traveling at this time.
When DF and I set our date, I really wanted a date that meant something to us. Our favorite season, holiday, etc. We ended up choosing our anniversary. I didn't want a date that was selected because it was the first available Saturday in June, or something that was most convienient for our guests.
I totally agree with chosing a date that has meaning. It makes that day more special. Anyone else have a story about why they chose the day that they did?
I don't see anything wrong with marrying on your birthday, or his.
We chose our wedding date (December 18th, 2008 *fingers crossed we can book it*) based on the following:
*His parents very first date was December 18th![]()
*They were engaged on the 18th of the month (not december..but still)![]()
*They were married the 18th of the month (again..not december..but..)![]()
*We have a very very close relationship with his parents![]()
*We both LOVE Christmas at Disney![]()
and finally.....
*WE were engaged on the 18th of the month (5/18/07)![]()
Isnt that all just too sweet??
