Is anyone there now? Have you seen the Star Wars refillable mug? Coming down tomorrow and willing to travel to whatever resort has is.

I was just there. Our departure day was January 3rd and they were being put out the day before at our resort. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and they were at the Roaring Forks Restaurant. They are $30.

Only $10 to upgrade my refillable mug to an insulated Star Wars mug? Yes, please!

My biggest gripe with refillable mugs is that I have no use for them once we leave. And then we just end up getting more on the next trip.

I have a refillable mug that I got from Typhoon Lagoon years ago that allowed you to just purchase a new barcode sticker and re-use it. The barcode to reuse the water park mug cost less than a new mug. At least it used to. I have no idea if they would still even honor it now that they have RFID mugs.

With the RFID resort mugs, can you just pay to re-activate old mugs? I thought I read that somewhere, but I don't think you get a discount to do that, do you?

RFID solved the problem of people bringing mugs back from previous trips for free refills. But if you bring old resort mugs back and pay to re-activate them, I think they should at least give a small discount since you're not getting a new mug. They should encourage people to bring back old mugs and re-activate them (a discount would incentivize this) to reduce the number of mugs ending up in landfills (or at least in my already tightly-packed Disney storage closet), right?

So can you upgrade ($10 a mug) to the Star Wars mug at any resort? We are staying at Saratoga Springs in July. Thanks for any help!

Yes, they are $30 for anyone and $10 to upgrade from the DDP. We stayed at All Star Music and Art of Animation over Christmas break and both resorts had ample supply of the star wars mugs. Art of Animation had a skyliner upgradeable one available as well.

Interesting. I saw pictures when I googled. They seem like a much better quality mug too. Probably well worth the $10 upgrade in terms of Disney World value.

My husband got the Star Wars upgrade for $10 at Saratoga Springs last week. The cashier told us it was a Tervis mug, but up inspection it’s not “Tervis” but “easy go”. No idea what brand that is, but regardless, it’s a nice quality mug and he’ll use it long after our trip. :)

Both Star Wars and Skyliner mugs were at Boardwalk Bakery Jan 10th weekend.

I know this thread was last mentioned a couple of months ago, but does anyone know if the Star Wars and Skyliner mugs are still available at the resorts? My friend and I are going in late April and she wants very much to get one of the Star Wars ones.

I heard everywhere

I heard tervis as well unless they got cheap and down graded the mug. Only way to know is talk to someone who got those mugs when they first came out. Travis is a real quality mug.

We saw the Star Wars mug at POR, POFQ, and YC over the weekend. None of them had the skyliner mug. I was bummed because I wanted one

I was there in February and bought the SW mug in Wilderness Lodge. I saw the Skyliner mug at Pop Century during our trip.
