It might be the only way we can afford to cruise with a family of 5. :rolleyes1Heck Dh said he would even drive to FL from PA (he said he would NEVER drive, LOL).

Anyone stay ina Cat 4 with 5 people? I figure our kids are still smallish so it won't be bad.

Just waiting for our quote to come....

2 cabins would be more expensive with that special unless you settle for an inside cabin. For booking purposes, 2 of her children would be adults.

I'd take the family cabin.
It's a great deal!

DCL is not cheap. In fact, they are among the priciest cruiselines sailing out of Port Canaveral. A family of 5 would have to book a stateroom in Category 4. You would not fit in a Cat. 5 or smaller. Cat. 4 can be spendy just by itself because you're paying for the veranda AND the larger cabin AND being closer to the pool deck.

The current offer of "kids under 17 are free" is very attractive. If you can travel on the specific sailings that the offer is valid - and you have your heart set on DCL - I say go for it. You will never find a better price again.

We're booked into a cat 4 with 5 people. Those rooms seem large, so we're not expecting any problems. This seems a great deal - but hoping the dates get extended a bit - and then we'd qualify! Hoping, hoping....fingers and toes crossed!

Definately tempted! I have one on hold. I think we might cap our spring break trip to Florida with a 3 night cruise on the Wonder.

With the promotion, the price for April 2010 is better than we paid in August 2008 (and April isn't even hurricane season ... woohoo!!!). I had pretty much written off a cruise for 2010.

We booked with the special - Feb 28th - 2 adults, 2 children, $977.00 - can't beat it. We were going to go to WDW in December with free dining, but jumped on this as soon as I saw it - would much rather cruise:banana:

Wow how did you get that cheap???

4 nights for 5 of us in cat 4 was over $3000 with the girls being free. Maybe it was the week and cat room?

We booked!!! there's 5 of us...so Cat4, 3 day, $2022, 2/11. We've done a cat 4 before with 5 (kids were 6, 9, 11) and have done the two rooms( 13, 11, 8). Of course with the kids free promo you have to do the cat 4 to get all three kids free. With the Cat 4 they each had their own bed so it was fine.

Where did you find this rate? sounds too good to be true. ;)

The dates won't be extended. The Magic is sailing to Europe, so the Wonder prices shoot up, since it will be the only ship at PC for Disney. Unless the ship is empty for those months, I really wouldn't count on it.

Sooooo tempting! We sailed this past April with the kids sail free promo. I've narrowed it down to 2 dates, both 3 nighters for the 4 of us in a cat 12 for $777....decisions, decisions!!!:rolleyes1

Last year i sat on the kids sail free offer and missed it, but i jumped when they extended it and offered Kids 1/2 off through May.

I would love to make this happen again. We have party of 5 as well.

I'm more than a little tempted to tack on a 3 night cruise to the end of our Jan trip. It would make for a nice vacation after the craziness of a week at WDW! :rotfl:

We were already booked on B2B cruises and just heard from our agent (DU). We're waiting to hear about the difference in cost!!! We NEVER qualify for these discounts. We always seem to book at just the wrong time. This year I think we got lucky!!!

The real bummer is that we're a family of 6. So, there's no room that qualifies for the discount that we can stay in. We're currently booked in connecting SPH rooms for both cruises - so category 10. Only two of our children will be free for the cruises. I'd love to figure out a way to make it cheaper for us!!

When will you be there? We're going to WDW JAn 7 - 14 and then a cruise after I run the 1/2 marathon and everyone else in my family (except the 3 yo) runs the 5K.

UGH! They are only good until mid-April.....I am married to a tax accountant....there is no way he can get off for any of those dates!

We took part in the promo last fall for the bounceback cruise. So we got a second cruise for just $99.00 a person which we are taking in November. Our room is a catagory 6 for 4 people on a 3 day cruise. I am seriously thinking of going with this kids free promo during October so we can go to MNSHP. I am worried though that since I've had the verandah I won't want to downgrade to a smaller room. I was thinking a port hole stateroom. I am going to research it more and let you know what I decide. :confused3
