I'd be interested in hearing about where you are going and how you tied it into your trip to DL. We have done the 3 day cruise on the Magic several years ago and would like to take a cruise along with our first trip to DL. I know it cannot be a disney cruise, but what other cruise lines sail out of a port close to Anahiem? Thanks!

I think the closest port to Anaheim would be Long Beach. There were rumors a few years ago of Disney having a cruise from Long Beach, but nothing happened. I would love for Disney to have a cruise out of Long Beach. Adding airfaire and all to get to Florida to take a cruise deffiently puts it way out of our budget.

Air fare is what keeps me from going to either DW or DL much!! We live way out in cowboy and indian country and it's a long way to anything! We have to drive 250 miles just to fly!! I'll have to see what I can find out about Long Beach. Thanks.

I believe most of the cruises go out of San Pedro. I know Carnival sails from there but almost any cruise line that sails 3 - 7 days to the Mexican Riviera will most likely sail from San Pedro.

My husband and I just went on a three day cruise out of San Pedro on Royal Carribean on 7/11. We decided that instead of staying the night before we left at a hotel at the Port that we would stay at Paradise Pier and have dinner at Blue Bayou (we are annual passholders from Las Vegas). We had a great time that night, woke up in the a.m., left around 10:30am and got to the port by 11:00am. Very easy drive, especially in the carpool lane. We took the 91 down to the 110. The cruise was great, left on Fri., made one stop in Ensenada on Sat., at sea Sun. and arrived back in San Pedro on Mon. a.m. We had a great time!!

I know Royal Carribean does 3, 4 and 7 day cruises out of San Pedro. I believe Princess does a 7 day, and Carnival does 3, 4 and 7 days out of Long Beach. In fact, the Carnival ship followed us the whole trip. We could look out of our window and see the ship lit up in the distance!

This was our first cruise, and we will definitely do it again. Hopefully next time it will be a Disney cruise with our kids :-)

Thanks Sgirlsmom! I will have to get on the net and look some of those up. San Pedro would for sure be doable for us to leave from.
I hope you can do the Disney Cruiseline because it is really nice! I was disappointed there were no cruises from California on the Disney Cruiseline! We have only done the 3 day cruise but would love to do the 7 days, both of them! My husband really isn't a Disney person though, because of the cost. He says everything Disney is way too high priced! I just have to save until I have enough and then he'll go! LOL!

Hi San Pedro is the closest port to DL We did a 4 day Royal Carribean cruise last Oct on the Vision of the Seas excellent trip went to Catalina, San Diego and Ensenada ship was just beautiful. Carnival also does the same cruise also nice ships tend to be more of a party ship. If you are looking for a longer cruise both these cruise lines and Princess do a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise have not done but have heard great things

Thanks dlgirl!! I'm not sure yet what we can afford but I'm sure we'll do one of them.
