I heard that you can get on a LYNX bus from WDW and get to Universal for much less than taking a taxi.
Has anyone done this? If so, can you tell me where you get the bus (is it WDW transportation center?) and do you have to transfer buses?
I would appreciate hearing from someone that has done this.....thanks! :wave2:

I was going to do this last time we went to WDW, but I rented a car instead and it was the best decision I made on that trip. I was sooo easy driving around the area, even back and forth to the parks. One night when Fantasmic ended the line for the buses back to the resorts was very long. It was nice to just hop in our rental and drive back to PC.
I was told that the Lynx goes from the TTC to SW, not Universal.

The Lynx bus does go from the TTC and drops off at the I-Ride trolley stop number 38 (Sea World). From there you can either take a cab (approx. $15) to Universal or catch the I-Ride trolley up (although you will still have a fair walk the other end).

I haven't heard of anyone going from the TTC to USF. It takes 3 busses, and would probably take 2 hours.
People have gone from the TTC to SWF because that's one bus, the #50. That works, people have reported saving a ton of money and a good experience.
Rent the car, you can go anywhere, when you want. Visit grocery stores, restaurants on I-Drive, even drive over to BGT one morning (75 miles).

i have a friend that took the bus with her family.
spouse and 2 kids, with her.

she told me never again would she do that in order to save money.

if you miss the connections as one leaves on the hour and the other on the half hour, it could take you as robvia said a long time.

it took them 2 hours........and it was in august and sweltering hot........they were miserable. and all for saving money......sometimes it is just not worth it.

i take car service from disney hotels to hard rock. i start at one park and move to universal for the end of my trips. i used to rent cars but stopped that 4 years ago.

my town car service costs me $35 one way.
did the taxi once and it costs $25. left before rush hour which cut back on the cost.

i would consider renting a car again but hate to pay that $10 a night fee at the hotel. yea, on my confirmation it lists parking is at $10 / night.
