Anyone taken Levaquin?

DH did when he had complications (including fever and therefore possible infection) after gallbladder surgery.

He was on a cocktail of about three different antibiotics, but had no particular side effects.

What do you mean? Myself or at a doctor? Right now, I am so swollen, the rinse comes back out the same nostril.

An ENT can do it. I had it done once about 18 years ago and I have never had a bad sinus problem since. I went through all the meds and was miserable. I was kind of ticked off that it had not been suggested to me sooner. It would have eliminated months of feeling crappy.

Let me preface this by saying I am allergic to 8 different drugs, most of them antibiotics.

Last summer I got an infection from being in a hot tub on vacation, had a severe rash amongst other not so pleasant symptoms. The doctor gave me Levaquin and Prednisone, (mind you this was the second time I was taking the Levaquin so we thought it was a safe drug for me). By the second day my supervisor was rushing me to the ER because I was having difficulty breathing and extreme anxiety. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction to the Levaquin and a "side effect" of the Prednisone.

I'm not too worried about the prednisone. I have been on it a few times for sinus infections and also for systemic poison ivy(I can't even LOOK at the stuff without it getting into my blood). It makes me feel wired is all. I am going to start it tomorrow. Just wanted to see if I had any side effects from the Levaquin first; that way if something happens when I add the prednisone, I will know to just stop the prednisone.

I will ask about the sinus flush. Is that painful?
