We'll be leaving in a few days, taking the autotrain for the first time in a while, and traveling in sleepers. Does anyone know if the menus have been changed in the last three years, and what they are for the sleepers?
We traveled on the autotrain on 8/5 in sleepers. The menu was changed from previous years. DD6 and I had our meals in our room since the time was soo late and we had ds2 w/ us. I ordered a roasted chicken - it was soo good. I want to say it came w/ rice and veggies. I do know the vegetable lasgana is no longer served in sleepers bc it was served in coach on the return trip. DH also ate in his room w/ ds 8 and 10. He also had the roasted chicken. The kids had the cho choo chewie-- chicken tenders/mac and cheese. That is also offered in an adult platter too. coach also offered a nice piece of fish filet too.
Sorry can't be more help in the sleeper menu. This was the 1st time we both at in our rooms.
have you tried calling the autotrain directly?? I have done that in the past to inquire about the food for an allergy in ds2
You know, it never occurred to me to call and ask. That's a great idea.
I do remember the lasagna in coach, and also some sort of chicken cutlet and short ribs. I've been on a diet so I'll just be happy to have some cheesecake. Hopefully they still have that.
