Anyone take cab rides to the parks?

Gonig with friends this October ... it will be their 1st time and they are dead set against taking bus. They Wanted to stay at a mononrail hotel - but then I explained they would still need to bus to 2 of the 4 parks anyway, They are leary of the whole Disney thing and are only going because their 3 kids have been begging them.
I do want them to be able to have the monorail experience because it is uniquely Disney so.........

?? We will be staying at Boardwalk, can I take a cab to the Ticket and Transportaion Center and Hop the Monorail to the MK?

?? Can you take a cab directly to the parks?

You can get cabs to most anywhere. There are stands (out of sight) at the hotels and parks. That being said, I'll bet you don't use them much, once you all see the efficiency of the buses and the closer drop off the bus and monorail provide. We take someone in a wheelchair and still find it easy. Though once we left by the front of Epcot and had to catch a cab back to the Swan since there wasn't a bus, we forgot you had to leave by the International Gateway and get a boat.

The MK especially, you have to go to the TTC, than boat or monorail across/around the lake. Pretend you cannot get a cab. The buses from your resort will drop you right at the front of the MK. The buses are the BEST option, closer and faster even than driving and parking in the closer HC parking! How 'bout bus to MK, spend the morning then monorail over to Epcot, spend some time there, then leave by the International Gateway and walk or boat back to Boardwalk?

I remember a trip i made with my friends family. We chipped in and rented a limo to take us. That was fun.
