I think it really only helps for minor motion sickness, so it probably would help for rides & airplanes I guess.
I actually take both regular Dramamine and Bonine. A bit much? Perhaps, but I've been since I started the combo. Yes, I get sleepy and it knocks me out for a bit, but generally only for an hour or so and then I'm awake again and fine and making a run for the ME line!![]()
I take Bonine for the plane ride and the rides at Disney. It doesn't make me tired.
I take generic Antivert, otherwise known as Meclizine. I get the prescription form of it but you can get the very same thing I take over the counter. Meclizine 25 mg. It does not make you drowsy. Or it never has made me drowsy and I have BAD motion sickness. I get motion sick very easy and Meclizine is the only thing I trust to take because I know it works. (If I remember to take it that is)
. Very scary and upsetting... was given meclizine in the e.r. Now I carry it with me and if I feel it coming on I take a pill. I was quite worried the first trip back to Disney after vertigo so I took Bonine as a precaution on my first day which was HS... I was able to ride RnRC and ToT no problem but still avoided Star Tours (have never done well on simulators... but I can do Soarin
). I didn't have to take it the rest of the trip but would have if I'd felt any dizziness coming on.Do you ever feel sick taking the mixture of two anti-vomitting medicines? I have always take Dramamine but still feel nauseous on rides. And how do you take the two?
