I know a lot of people here use YNAB, just wondering how many others like me stuck stubbornly with YNAB 4

I'm glad there are at least a few stubborn people like me who refused to move on. I thought I'd lost the app part for awhile there when it stopped updating through Dropbox but luckily got it fixed

For the What's YNAB responses, it stands for You Need A Budget. There is a web based one now which I guess is essentially the same -- it's a budget program based on the old envelope budgeting (or zero-based budgeting). It totally changed our financial life 10 years ago, a crisis like this always makes me love it more. I had NO idea how to budget non-bill money prior to YNAB.

I was a holdout for a number of years, but finally made the switch at the start of 2020. For me, nYNAB helps since it forces me to look at things on a daily basis as transactions get imported. Fortunately, the institutions that have auto-import issues are my daily driver accounts, so I'm able to use that feature as intended. I love all the versions though, since it has allowed a guy on a non-profit salary to afford to visit WDW on the regular and easily handle medical emergencies.

I switched to the new version and honestly I love it! And I'm a die hard spreadsheet user for EVERYTHING LOL.

Yeah I held off for a LONG time but then decided to give the new version a try. It's got pretty much all the features I loved about 4 that weren't available in the first web version (like the ability to do calculations within the individual fields) and they fixed some of the buggy stuff that kept me off the web version. I have been using the new version for a month now and it's pretty seamless.

Do you happen to recall how you fixed the app? Mine hasn't worked in months and I can't figure it out.

Deleted everything from my phone - even Dropbox - and then reinstalled it all. The files on my computer were the right ones, a re-install finally got it syncing afain
