Anyone stayed onsite on Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend?

Hello All,

I am thinking of staying onsite during MLK Jr. Weekend in 2013. I know that:

a. January typically has low onsite hotel rates compared to busier times of the year,
b. Universal will sometimes jack up their rates significantly during busy times and holiday weekends such as President's Day Weekend, and
c. MLK is a bit of a tweener holiday, not as many people get the day off & thus less vacations are planned over the weekend.

I am wondering if anyone has stayed onsite during MLK Jr. Weekend over the last few years. Have the rates been closer to typical mid-January rates or President's Day rates? Does anyone remember their rate? Were Annual Pass discounts offered?

Also, how have the crowds been over MLK Jr. Weekend? I have been to WDW in the past over MLK but not Universal.

Check the date and rate threads to see past offerings of the discounts. We haven't been during that time of year so I can't really comment on that but I am guessing it would not be very crowded

i do remember some threads in the past discussing mlk and crowd levels.
don't remember if the parks were busy or not.

I checked the date & rate threads from 09-12; doesn't look like the rates are jacked up too high over MLK, so I think I'm in good shape.
