Dear Blueeyes,

We have stayed at both the All Stars (as a chaperone with our high school band ) and Coronado Springs ( our family vacation) and we kinda prefer CS. The resort surroundings are much more adult and lack the disney "magic", but we found that to be helpful to help our little one come down from the disney high and to get to sleep at night. The grounds are beautiful and the pools are top notch. (In fact our daughter met her fiance in the hot tub @CS and they will marry at Disney in May 2005). We liked the All Stars okay but it seemed loud (perhaps because of our group) !! It was a long walk to the bus stops if you were in the back of the resorts @ ASR but the bus stops @ CS are located all through the resort and never more than a 5 min. walk. IMHO I'd choose CS over the ASR.

Have a great time where ever you stay. Hey you'll be @ WDW!!!

$153 a night more seems too high. Are you sure that isn't the per night charge for the hotel, or the amount more for the total stay?

We've only stayed at POFQ and liked it very much. It is compact so you aren't too far from anything. It has some nice quiet areas and the boat ride to Downtown Disney was nice. The pool area is nice, although not the longest slide in the world.

The pool slide is supposed to be great at Coronado Springs if pool slides are of interest to you.

We have stayed at Caribbean Beach many times. It is a great resort. You truly feel like you have escaped to the islands.

I agree 100% with safety mom - DH and I absolutely love the CBR and won't stay anywhere else although we should try something different:) The views at CBR are gorgeous; the transportation (especially from Jamaica) is great and the food court is more than adequate. As previously stated, the atmosphere makes you feel like you are on the islands.
But I do agree - $153 a night is too much; check out Disney's Spring Resort Room only savings - you could save almost $25 a night. Just go to disneyworld.com, put in a search search for spring resort savings and the website to access will show up; click on that and check out the rates.
If it is only a difference of $153 for the whole trip, definitely, without a doubt, take the splurge and stay at a moderate.
We actually got a rate of $127.12 (with tax) for a preferred room view but we have an AP; if you were considering an AP, I believe you may be able to book a room (if there are any left) for $104 (w/o tax) a night; I believe that is code CTN. Good luck and let us know how you make out!!!

First of all......

Codes haven't been released for May yet, but they will be soon!
Stick around here or check mousesavers.com for updated discounts!

If I was doing an All-Girls trip, the CSR sounds like a winner!
You all could do a pedicure one day.....
just an idea..... since they have a health club and salon!

Just sounds right for you girls!

I've stayed at CBR several times and I've enjoyed it each time! I love the island feel and it's a very pretty resort. The pool bar, Banana Cabana, has some great pina coladas and mixed "tropical" drinks .

There seems to be about a $50 difference per night. I have stayed at both AllStarMu and POR(twice). Love them both. I didn't find the AllStars to be really loud. We had a room on the backside of Jazz and it was quite. It really boils down to what you prefer. I liked the food court at AllStarMu better than the one at POR. I loved the theming at POR. The moderates are more 'grown up' while the AllStars are complete whimsy!!! I say, find a site like Deb Wills site and check out the different resorts. I would stay at the AllStars again if I could get it for less than $100 a night. Good luck, and have fun planning!!!

Our choice would be Port Orleans resort hands down!

#1 Welcome to the Dis. There is a lot of info here, and Disers who are always willing to help you.

I've stayed at POR, when it was Dixie Landings in one of the mansions and Caribbean Beach. Both have great themeing, good food courts. I love the quite pools at these resorts. Both have a great theme pool for kids too.

I don't know if your price is a package that includes your park tickets and a few perks, if not, you may need to look around for a better discount. This price is a little high for just a room.

I think all 3 are a good choice.

Can go wrong with PO I dont know what they call it now, Satyed at Coronado, YUCK< I hated it, I have heard CB is also nice. Good luck deciding :D

I've stayed in all three. I really enjoyed CS atmosphere but I found that all the rooms were really far from the food court and bus area and I wasn't very satisfied with the food court at all. (Honestly, i probably would not return there again) I think it depends on your taste. If it's a girls trip I'm sure you'll love being at CB. If you've ever been the Carribean and loved it then thats your place! However, my favorite is port oreleans. I think it has an awesome food court and atmosphere.

To everyone that helped me with resort choices, thank you so much...of course i had to make a typo..the difference in price was going to be 153 for the week for each of us..2 in a room...I think we are going to stay in the caribbean one!! Thanks so much for your help

I would say that CRS is a lot like a deluxe because they have a wrokout facility, a massage room, a fantastic pool (the dig site), have a great pool slide too! Having stayed at CSR, CBR, and POR. CSR has without a doubt, and this includes the deluxe resorts perhaps, the best bus transportation at WDW. The reason why i say this, is because this is a convention resort and not many people use the transortation. Now any one who has left a park in the evening and who has had to stand on the ride back to your resort can really appreciate having a seat.

That's my $.02.....

I hope you have a fun time! I'm sure you will no matter what resort you stay at!(Afterall you're in the happiest place in the world!):jumping1:
