Anyone stayed in DL Hotel Character Rooms?

Has anyone ever stayed in the DL Hotels Character Rooms? I stumbled upon them when trying to make reservations for two adjoining rooms for the four of us (2 adults, 2 kids) in August. Reservations told me that of course they couldn't confirm adjoining which of course then defeats the purpose. Then I found these other rooms on the web - One standard room with a connecting room that is either Princess or Mickey themed. Perfect! A guarantee of it being connecting plus a themed room for the kids! Anyone know of these and are they o.k.? Thanks!!

Interesting. I've never heard of such a thing. The only Mickey room I've heard of is the penthouse suite!

Did you ask how much they charge for those rooms? Make sure you're sitting down when you do!!

Actually, it is the same price as two rooms - so there's no additional cost. However, they only have them in the Dreams Tower, so you are paying for those views.

We have regular reservations next week and I saw these rooms so I called for a price. And we are AP holders. Right now we are paying $214 per night with DTD view (dream tower requested) They said for the Character Rooms our Cost would be $693 (ouch) per night. My kiddos still sleep in bead with us so at that prince I wouldn't even consider it.

Wow - they quoted me $320 for a standard room/resort view. What am I doing wrong? This is for August btw.

We had the Mickey one. My kids freaked!!! They still talk about how Mickey gave them a special room. Heck, DH and my 26 yo brother still talk about it.
