I'd love to hear about your experiences.

We are staying in one for our wedding night and the couple nights after, and I will be staying in it the night before the wedding and getting ready in there. I'm really excited... and we still have to wait seven months!

We stayed in one when we were married last October. The hedges were cut into a heart in the front yard.

All the garden suites are two story...some have balconies off the upstairs bedroom and some are lofts. Either one is wonderful. Jacuzzi in the upstairs bath.

You may find a picture at Deb Willis site...allearsnet.com and then go to the resort area.

Good luck on your upcoming marriage and enjoy your garden suite.

We stayed in a garden suite for part of our honeymoon as well. We loved the resort, and the garden suite was great! I love the two-story layout and the Jacuzzi tub is HUGE! Plus, it’s always nice to have two restrooms (there is a full bath upstairs and a half bath downstairs). We had the garden suite with the loft setup and outside courtyard (very cute!), but they also have garden suites with no courtyards and balconies on the second story (these are a little bit larger). I prefer the ones with the courtyards, but that’s just personal preference. The only very minor drawback is that it’s a bit of a hike to the concierge lounge since the garden suites have their own private entrances. Enjoy the garden suite! Here’s a link to my pictures so you can see what ours was like:

We are interested in booking a garden suite for a long weekend in October, but when I called CRO today I was told that there are no discounts on suites. I was also told I could not have more than one reservation at once, so I took it all with a grain of salt.

Has anyone ever gotten a AAA or AP discount on these?

Thanks for sharing your photos - the suite looks lovely. Can you ballpark the price for me?

We have a discount of about 31% for holding our wedding at WDW... sorry, don't know about any other kinds of discounts.

We are staying in a garden suite :flower: for 3 nights of our stay in May. I can't wait! I viewed ead79's pictures a while ago and I couldn't pass it up. Plus it's a graduation present for my DH (shhhh!) :ssst:
I will post a report on the garden suite when I get back! :earsgirl:

I called for BWI concierge at AP rates. None were available, but I was told I could have the Garden Suite at AP rate (I can't remember for sure, but I think it was about $570). It can't hurt to try!!!

Good luck!

I knew I was not crazy! We have had discounts on suites quoted to us in the past. I will try another call to CRO to see if I get a better informed CM.

Just an FYI - I was trying to get an AP rate for the garden suites this past December. The first time I tried, the CM said yes, there is an AP rate available. I thought "great!" She went on to give me the total and it was rack rate. I said "that's rack rate" and she said "No, it's an AP rate - it says so here on my screen." So I asked her to look up rack rate and it was the same price. She talked to a manager and came back on the line to tell me it was a mistake in their system and they were going to fix it. I called several times over the course of many weeks and every time, I was told there was an AP rate available - and it was always rack rate!

BTW, we did stay there in December and we were a little disappointed. While the suite was spacious and relatively private, ours was not in the best shape/ It was really in need of refurbishment. We also had a bad experience with loud and disruptive noise from 1 - 5 a.m. - 2 nights in a row. (We didn't complain the first night because we thought it was a fluke) Management finally determined that it was Spoodles powerwashing its duct system. It sounded like someone banging on an empty trash can for hours on end! We asked to be moved to the GF after the second night of little sleep.

We thought the lounge was nice, though much smaller and way less offerings than GF's RPC - for the same money. The lounge staff was wonderful and the planning office exceptional. I just felt that the value was not there considering the price on the suites.

I've stayed there 2x. Once in a room with the courtyard and once with the balcony. I prefer the balcony. We love the garden suites. The first time it was over labor day weekend and I got a fantastic AP rate. The second time was March 2004 and I paid rack rate but it was for my wedding/honeymoon and worth it. I think the concierge staff is wonderful at the Boardwalk too.
