I'm new and hope I'm posting on the right board for this.

Has anyone stayed at this resort? I found it on allears.net and it looks gorgeous and it seems reasonable. They also offer shuttle service to the parks. It will be me and DH, my parents and our 4 yo triplets. :)

TIA, Mari

Hello,

We just stayed there in April and we loved it. It was very clean and beautiful and we had no complaints. We did not use the shuttle service, though, because they told us that it only comes back at one or two times, and we had small children and a person with mobility issues, so we wanted to have the car.

Stayed here a few year ago in a 2 bed condo & loved it. We did have a car though so can't help on the shuttle service. Probably cheaper to drive than pay for the bus each day?

We were there for a few days last month, it was very nice. We had a car, and I was very glad of it. I read in the room information about the shuttle service, the shuttle did not appear to go to all of the parks ( in other words, if you want to go to Animal Kingdom, take the Resort shuttle to Magic Kingdom, transfer there on Disney buses) and the shuttle runs were infrequent and first come first serve. But please, someone correct me if I'm wrong!
You can probably call the resort guest services to get more information. To be honest, I would really try to get a car -- I remember thinking how hard it would have been for us without one -- even just to get from our room (keys Section) to the main pool and restaurant.

If you do not have a car during your stay, I would not recommend the VV but if you will have a car, the VV is a great choice.

I stayed at this resort about a year and a half ago. It's a very nice resort -- it's the newer of the two Sheraton timeshares in Orlando. I had a car, so I don't know about the shuttle.

While we were at Vistana Villages, we sat through the timeshare presentation. They gave us a substantial gift -- 2 Sea World tickets, maybe? If you think you might want to buy at Vistana Villages, you should definitely go to www.tug2.net and ask about this on the Hotel Based Timeshares board first. Vistana Villages can be a good way to get into the Starwood Vacation Ownership system, but resales are often available at a big discount from developer prices. Also, some or all of the new units sold by Vistana do not allow you to transfer your Starwood Vacation Ownership Staroptions to the new owner if you sell your week, which makes them far less valuable than the older units.

By the way, can you tell us what you are paying to stay at the Vistana Villages? Did you book through a website or by calling the resort?
