Any thoughts anyone?

Am I right in thinking you can walk to EPCOT and Boardwalk from here? This is the main reason DH wants to stay here

I think I might be booking this morning for 2012 but just wanted some last minute thoughts

Thanks

I haven't stayed at BC but I have stayed at Yacht Club and they are both beautiful, amazing resorts. Yes you can easily walk to Epcot and Boardwalk from BC. You can also take the Friendship Boats to Epcot or Hollywood Studios, or even walk to Hollywood Studios (takes around 15 minutes).

We stayed at BC last year and absolutly loved it. Stomalong Bay is by far the best pool area in any Disney resort. I could go on for hours about how much we loved it and why, so if you have any questions just ask.One thing though, we had a room directly behind Epcot UK area (separated by woods), and from our door to the back entrance between France and UK was a 3 minute walk :thumbsup2

Yes!! W love it so much we have bought Dvc points there!! You get a boat to HS or it's a nice 25-30min walk to HS. Epcot is 5 mins. Stormalong bay is the biz.

Yes it v easy to walk to Epcot from Beach Club. I spent a great afternoon walking to Hollywood Studios, spending a few hours there, then getting the friendship boat to Epcot for evening magic hour and then only had a 10 min walk back to Yacht Club (which is next door to Beach Club) :thumbsup2

I would happily stay at BC every visit. I love it - and the short walk to Epcot or a friendship boat ride to the Studios is a real bonus. We also like being able to walk around the lake (5 minutes) to the Boardwalk, to the bakery or JellyRolls or a Boardwalk restaurant.

Oh - and DW and I also enjoyed many a relaxing hour with a book on the beach itself, an oft ignored way to totally relax away from the pool. Heaven .....:thumbsup2

One other thing, we have rarely chosen to utilise Disney Transport :confused3 but we were inside MK within 15 minutes of leaving BC by means of the resort bus.

We stayed at the BC last year and loved it. We were a 2 min walk away from the International gateway entrance at Epcot to our hotel room. The boardwalk is literally across the water, another quick and easy walk. We also walked to HS, about 10 min walk. One night we left the studios at the same time as the boat and we were at the BC before the boat.

Stormalong bay is also great fun.

For us the location of the BC is amazing and we would go back in a heartbeat. One thing to consider is that if you want to be guaranteed a full balcony you might be better booking the yacht club as they all have full balconies while some rooms at beach club only have the standing only small balconies.

If you haven't already done so, I'd suggest looking at photos of the Beach Club, Yacht Club and the BoardWalk (both lobbies and rooms). Although the Beach Club is the closest to Epcot, all offer very easy access to both Epcot and the Studios. I'd opt for the one which appeals to you most in terms of theming and decor.

i've stayed at the beach club, the yacht club and the boardwalk inn..

of the 3, i prefer the yacht club for two reasons....the decor of the yacht club and the fact that all rooms have a balcony...
not all rooms at the beach club have balconies..

other than that, the beach club and yacht club are basically the same and share the same (amazing) pool....

We stayed at the Yacht Club for a couple of nights and the location is fabulous. The reason we chose it over the Beach Club was because of the full size balcony.

this is our favourite of all the Disney resorts
always wished we had bought DVC here instead of SSR
