Hope I'm not hi-jacking the thread, but I'd like to hear your opinion of the second one on your list Wayne...
Sarah (TotallyAngelic) wrote a Tripadvisor review, not sure I can link to it so I will paste it below my comments.
We stayed there just after Sarah last August. Firstly what I didn't like, pulling into the hotel front and being pounced on by a member of staff, wanting to hold the car key "incase they have to move the car" while we checked in. Its basically a way to get a tip from you as there is(was) nowhere to park.
Once checked in they give you can access the car park but have to pay $10? per day(annoying as the place had about 20 cars but 100's of spaces, but thankfully they made a mistake on our bill and only charged me for 1 night instead of 3)
Apart from that a perfectly adequate hotel, nice clean room & comfy beds.
Couldn't believe how quiet it was, we hardly saw anyone else in the hotel, like I said maybe 20 cars, our last day we flew home we spent the morning by the pool, we had it to ourselves, we saw staff but no-one else. Pool was very cold so maybe the heating was broken as Sarah referred to perfect temps.
We only stayed here as it was a freebie with American Airlines airmiles, I would stay again at the right price but taking parking fees and no breakfast included into account that would have to be a rate of under £35/nt, I wouldn't pay anymore.
Fantastic hotel, great staff, perfect location !
We stayed here for 16 nights from 1st July 2011, and had a wonderful time. The location of the hotel is just perfect for guests visiting WDW. Easy access to the parks using the regular and convenient shuttle buses, yet far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle. I loved coming back to the peace and tranquility of the hotel after a busy day fighting the crowds in the theme parks. The hotel never felt crowded. Fabulous pool area for relaxing, and the pool was always a perfect temperature.
The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were so comfortable I wanted to bring mine home with me. The staff were always welcoming and friendly, particularly David from guest services / reception area, who always found time to have a chat with us.
Perfect location for a safe 5 min walk to Downtown Disney or to Crossroads for a meal in the evening.
We definitely hope to stay here again when visiting WDW, and definitely prefer it over the hustle and bustle of the on site Disney hotels. A massive thank you to all the staff at Holiday Inn who made our stay such an enjoyable experience.
