Hi,
We stayed there in Sept 2005 & again in Oct 2006. We love the resort as it is very quiet. As has been said, the food does get a bit "samey" after a few days, but I think that would apply to any resort if you ate there every day.
The resort is quite large, and it can be quite a walk to the food court area, but it is a nice walk. We stayed in Barbados the first time, and it was a 5 minute stroll to the food court (Old Port Royale).
Last year we were put in Trinidad South. This is farthest from OPR (a good 10 minute walk) and we weren't happy. We asked to be moved, but the CM said that we would need to go back the next day as he couldn't authorise it. However, after walking from our room to OPR we decided to stick to the room, and we enjoyed the daily walks. If we went out at night, we would drive to OPR and get the bus from there. When we got back we would get off at OPR, get a drink and drive back to the room.
The main pool is small, but each "island" has it's own pool. They aren't themed, but they do tend to be quiet and they are about the same size as the main pool (slightly smaller maybe).
The buses run quite frequently. I think the most we have had to wait was 20 minutes, but it is usually around 5-10 minutes.
You can buy a mug when you get there for around $12 each. This entitles you to free drinks for your entire stay (soft drinks, coffee, tea and hot chocolate - not alcohol). I think a few Disney resorts do them, but if you are staying for 2 weeks, you will definately get your money's worth from them. You can only fill them up at OPR though.
We are staying a Port Orleans this year, but only because we wanted to try another resort. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to CBR.
Steve
