We stayed at the Cypress Pointe Grand Villas in November. We drove by Bonnet Creek so Bonnet Creek is closer to the parks but only by about 5 minutes. LOL
We enjoyed the resort - we had a 2 bed/2 bath unit that was well set up. They have a separate check in for children where they get a balloon and activity sheets which I thought was very cute.
The only negative that I can say about Cypress Pointe Grand Villas was that our feet were completely black from walking on the carpet - I have never had this happen before and it was disgusting to see how black all of our feet were. The unit appeared to be spotlessly clean with the exception of how black our feet got. I have read a couple of other reviews where people experienced this too. We had a ground floor unit so I am not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. Other than this, we really enjoyed Cypress Pointe - the pools and hot tubs were great.
We had stayed 2 nights at All Star Music before moving to Cypress Pointe and it was incredible the difference that having a hot tub made for our vacation enjoyment. I don't know why Disney does not have hot tubs at all of their resorts - it sure helps with sore muscles from all the walking.

Remember that Cypress Pointe Resort, the one currently having round one of a two part unit renovation being done, is a completely different resort/unit from CP Grande Villas. They share the common areas & a check n desk but the units/buildings are completely different and operated by two different Associations.
We find the "older" CPR to be the more up to date and overall better of the two. You certainly won't get black sock feet on the carpet there (it WAS reported once back in 2001 bit the management of the time was poor and they were replaced). Since that change the cleanliness of CPR is second to none. CPGV is OK but a step down in overall quality IMO. We prefer to stay at CPR whenever we can. It tends to be found for rent far less often than CPGV as the owners are more prone to use their time there it seems.
