I just booked a GV at VGC for next May. I was VERY surprised it was available, as I missed the 11 month window by a few days.

Anyway, I'm curious about the sleeping configuration. Are there two pull out couches plus a pull out chair?
I really liked the Kidani GV because of the second pull out couch. It drastically improved the who is sleeping where situation.
If there is a second pull out, is one on the loft and one in the living room?

Thanx,
MG

The Grand Villa has a pullout couch downstairs in the living room area and another pullout couch in the upstairs loft next to the pool table. There is enough "beds" for 14 even though the capacity is stated as 12. We had the Park view when we stayed. It will be an awesome view of WOC.

Thanx... Are they both park view?

No - only 1. The other GV villa is on the opposite side of the building overlooking the pool and towards Downtown Disney/Disneyland.

That's because a GV there is about a billion points a week. I don't see where there will be too many in the market for a GV at VGC.

It is a lot of points but the villa is fantastic. It was a great start of my owning DVC. I'm not sure we will do it again - probably would for a couple of nights if I could guarantee a park view.

We stayed in the one that had the pool view. When I booked it I didn't ask for any specific view. The room is amazing. We didn't use either of the pull out couch beds, but it was nice to know we could sleep 14 if we needed to.

Thanks everybody! You are right, it's a lot of points, but that's why we have them! We booked a whole week in early May.

Any thoughts on which view is better? I'm tempted to leave it to fate.

I was originally going to leave it to faith but at the end I asked for the Park view. It was great. I'm not sure I would be happy with the non-park view after seeing the park view. My 2 grandkids (1 & 2 1/2) loved looking out the window (at their eye level) and see the Mickey Wheel. They were testing WoC when we were there. The view of it would be the best of all of the views from the villas. We were able have a good view of the water screen graphics.

Jealous!!! Have a great stay! I am already saving my points for a 2 bedroom but do not think we will get there for 2 years but then it will give us more nights!

We haven't stayed in the GV but we did get to tour it last November. We toured the Paradise Pier view villa and it was awesome, great view of WOC. The set up is nice and if I remember right both rooms upstairs have queen beds (2 each) and nice size bathrooms. Kitchen is great as is the large family table to eat at. I think the Pool view would be nice and quiet with a good view of the fireworks at Disney and to the side you would have a Grizzly River Run/park view. Maybe someone could confirm this for sure. I think either is great since it is a GV but the WOC right now might be better since the show is new.;)
