It seems like I have been posting alot...Sorry. Getting things together so I can make my payments next month for Next years trip.

There is 6 of us. We are wanting to go checking in Nov 21 2014. It seems this year free dinning ending around that time so I am hoping we will get it this year so we will have it for our trip!! ( completely went off topic here lol)

The issue is we have 6 people and the cheapest route is a family resort at the moderate. But it says it comes with :

All Star - Family Suite
View Photos
Views of the Pool, Courtyard or Parking Area
1 Queen Bed and 1 Twin-Size Sleeper Chair and 1 Double-Size Sleeper Sofa and 1 Twin-Size Sleeper Ottoman
Sleeps up to 6

Will this be comfortable? Its me, DH, my mom, DD15, DD6, DS8.

Our only other option is to get two rooms which is more $. I would love to stay at port Orleans so we get the free Dinning Plus but the biggest it sleeps is 5.

Has anyone stayed here?

We stayed in a suite a couple years ago. The queen bed is in a room by itself. The sleeper chair and sofa are together in the main room and they fold up really easily. There were two bathrooms, which helped a lot. We had 6 people in the suite and had no problems at all. There is a small kitchenette (sink/coffeepot/shelves). You should be fine. :thumbsup2

The problem with a suite is that there is only one real bed. The others are sleeping on pull out sofas/ chairs etc... While I think my kids would be fine, I would never suggest to my mom that she should sleep like that on vacation.

2 rooms at a value should be about the same $ as a value suite (a little more or a little less depending on category). Then you will have the 4 beds to work with.

That's the route we would go if we were taking my mom with us.:goodvibes

We book two adjoining rooms. The connecting door inside is nice at night and still have two bathroom with real beds.

We never eat all the food on FD+, plus there are tips added along with park time missed at sit down dining. Last trip we did QS and I booked 1900 Park Fare and Sci Fi and saved a ton of money.

Just a thought we found worked for us.

We decided that it was better for us, as well, to book two adjoining rooms. We had double the space, and real beds for everyone. It was my husband and me, and the boys ages: 19, 19, 16, and 15. Since the smallest of the lot is me (5'6"), and the boys at that time were (including Dad): 6'0", 6'1", 6'2", 6'3", and 6'4" ... we really needed to ensure everyone got a good sleep each night!

We had tried a family suite on the DCL for 5 of us and found that, while the room itself was a little larger, we really had LESS room overall. Also, the cost was a little more than it would be to book two rooms! Odd, eh?

We have done a trip of 5-6 a few different ways.......10 years ago I took my mom and my 3 dd's (11, 7,7) and we stayed at POR which was tight but it worked.

Then 4 years ago my mom took myself my twins (13 at the time) and youngest son 2 and we stayed at ASMu. The extra room was nice bc mom has a motor chair now bc she is unable to walk. There was quite a bit of room

Last summer my mom took me, twins 16 and my step son who was also 16 who just came to live with us and youngest who was 5 and we had 2 rooms at POFQ. That worked out well bc the teens had their own "space".

There are many factors we consider but age and gender are important.
